Thank you to all the HRM residents who took the time and effort to shovel out their precious gas-guzzling cars, but couldn’t take the time to clear their sidewalks!
OH! And while I’m on the topic of responsible transit and snow – Thanks also to HRM transit for not updating the GO times to announce that the buses were no longer running. Some of us don’t use social media to get these updates! —Fed up with winter

gas-guzzling? Haven’t heard that term since ’77
Take a bracing douche of cold melt-water from the solar-shower on your back porch and then go roll around in the snow. We’ll find you with the rest of the melting dog turds when spring finally comes to stay.
In the case of Go Time, would that be the driver’s fault for a system that cost millions and still doesn’t work? Correct me if I’m wrong.
Be Bold – And Feck Off.
You require updates? I am sure there are ways to obtain the information without using social media. Ummm, maybe the fact you were covered in fucking snow would alert a normal person that service was prolly non-existent. It was a Juan-a-be storm for fuck sake.
HEY OB …
I didn’t use a shovel to dig out my 3/4 ton truck & the wife’s car …. I used my gas guzzling snowblower . It sure makes short work of that job LMAO
Technically residents pay HRM to clear the sidewalks through property taxes, so I don’t think you should be blaming homeowners. That being said, HRM is so slow getting the job done, and so terrible at doing the work, that I tend to shovel my own sidewalk. You’re welcome.
Their website has the twitter feed embedded…
I know you have access to the net, you did submit this after-all.
FUCK YOU OP. and your ” OO I don’t have a car; I’m so much better than anyone that does” attitude . I’m sure you brought your shovel along to dig YOUR way through the sidewalks as you went.
It’s against union rules for non-union people to clear their sidewalks.
just rant whilst you walk op, that hot air will clear the path before you
Why would I shovel a sidewalk? Can’t drive my has guzzling car on it, so fuck that!!!
^^ i bet you could if you greased it!
You can thank the twits on MT twitter. They told bus drivers the same thing. You should have followed on twitter. Not all of us have cell phones or want them. Metro transit management twits at the rescue!!!
Yours truly.
Personally, cancelling the bus services seems counter intuitive. If the city was interested in getting people home safely, the buses would be considered an emergency service. Free rides at the discretion of the bus driver would be a good idea. Instead, we send those lazy bastard drivers home with pay to catch up on their beer drinking.
GV ….the Unionized Bus drivers are simply supporting the Unionized Brewery workers.
& you say it like its a bad thing ~;P
Go Union !
The city knew the storm was coming, and a major one at that. Cities with brains shut down transit and don’t take people to work from five a.m. to eleven a.m. and then leave them stranded for a way home like they do here. No intelligence in the big wigs of this city.
Yours truly.
I love how in this bitch is blaming specifically car-owners, and not necessarily homeowners. In any case though it’s actually the city that is responsible for clearing the sidewalks.
I think everyone got the message that we were in for a real storm, everyone but the owners/managers of the HSC who decided to keep open, how fucking dumb is that?
Someone also posted that a Subway was open in Sackville, oh yeah, nothing says winter storm like a processed, over priced fucking sub.
Speaking of over priced subs, what news on our fleet of clunkers?
….but I loves my guzzler.
