HRM ads advising we should use shopping bags for paper recycling is effectively encouraging people to at least sometimes use plastic shopping bags. I have always, without trouble, placed my paper in a blue bag set aside for paper products only. HRM should be encouraging people to be environmentally friendly. These ads promote a policy put in place before the broad use of reusable bags, get with the time HRM!

Most reusable bag people, unless you’re David Suzuki, inevitably end up with at least a few grocery bags lying around. Why not use them for paper? They’re probably getting recycled, so what’s the big deal?
i believe all bags should be banned. people should be carrying their groceries in their hands or pockets, its not hard people,
Not to mention is takes four times as long to bag them in Sobey’s bags rather than just put them in a big blue bag. There is a reason why they don’t advertise putting them in blue bags though, I can’t remember what it is though.
Oh yeah I remember now, because some people compress the paper so much and fill them to the top in those big blue bags that they’re basically impossible to lift. They don’t want people overloading the bags so they say to put them in Sobey’s bags.
Wait… why is it better to use a blue bag rather than a shopping bag?
They’re both made of plastic, right?
The way I see it is that I’m re-using this evil little plastic bag for something good. Also, I’m poor and would rather not have to pay for something just to put garbage in it.
Exactly jennier. That’s the whole point of the HRM ads in the first place.
LOL awesome!
i keep plastic bags and disguard paper bags because they rip
I use the Sobeys plastic bags for my 3 cats shit – Superstore ones aren’t as good….
You think Sobey’s might want to use that as an advertisement one up on Superstore?
nevermind what the hell are you doing bringing common sense into this bitch. LOL.
Sorry BroTim 🙂 I guess I’m in that kind of mood today…
What I really use my Sobeys bags for is for suffocating screaminig kids at movie theatres!
