hmm call centers in halifax…. well i’d say that Minacs and teletech are the worst out of them all they do not treat their employees good not to mention that teletech is in the middle of no where! then theres staples, drugstore.com and RIM which are good p.s stay away from Minacs!
Just curious… what made you immigrate to Nova Scotia? I’m hoping you weren’t suckered by the whole so-called booming economy advertising. I worked retail and slung coffee during my undergrad. Both paid extremely poorly so I lived off student loans. If you’re a student, try to get a position with the university (I’m positive they pay better) or with a unionized company like NSLC. I don’t know what Starbucks pays but where I live its pretty good and they have benefits so it may be worth checking out in Halifax. The shitty thing is that there’s not much opportunity in Halifax. Don’t stop looking in other cities too. Good luck!
teletech just closed, i am told. there’s also a british firm called admiral who are expanding, according to someone i spoke to at the library. from what she says most moved from teletech to this place. good luck
