I have to agree with zZz…Never wish anything bad on someone as it usually will come back to haunt you. This person will learn their lessons as life goes on…people usually do. Everyone has to eventually grow right? Right? right? ok maybe not.

Darling it just makes you bitter to feel this way. Move on, feel happy about yourself and delight in your friend for being wealthy. You’ll get much more out of the person (not only monetarily) if you’re genuinely lovely to them. It’s too easy to wish hard times on someone else. So, sorry I feel no pity for the op.
I agree with zZz on his point — it’s one thing to dump a friend, but wishing them unhappiness is a little shitty on your part. Makes you no better than them.

It’s not as if the op sounds jeleous- it’s legitimate to be dissapointed to discover that someone you had good feelings for initially isn’t deserving. Why should anyone delight in an undelightful jerk who bases their entire identity and self esteem on the fact that they’re rich? If only people like that knew what everyone else thought of them….! This is one side of the story. If they’re a jerk and a rich jerk at that, I’m gonna use them for all they’re worth. I think the personal problems/issues the op has with their friend does not have anything to do with money. Why should that factor into anything? Either the op is jealous or the friend is a bitch.
