To all you hotel-goers in Halifax. If you book your hotel room through a discount LAST SELL ROOMS website, don’t check into the hotel expecting a suite/all inclusive stay, then bitch and beg to have your meals discounted and comp’d because you were put into a shoebox of a hotel room. Remember this…. you paid 60 bucks, you get what you pay for people!!!! Read the fine print next time and don’t blame the kind, helpful hotel staff for your poor planning skills. —Giving it All Away

I sincerely feel for you OP, and you guys should get paid top dollar for the crap you have to put up with!!
🙂
Offer them a free upgrade to the broom closet, that should shut them up.
Tell the stingy fuckers where the nearest Dollar store is. Mention that they have an All-You-Can-Eat brunch at the back of the store. If they come back pissed, inform ’em that the brunch is from 11:12-11:14 a.m. every second Wednesday.
Hotels suck because they expect you to take all this shit from people with a huge smile on your face. Don’t dare ever look like you may not want to be there, even when they let you off at 11 and expect you to be there at 7 the next morning.
I feel for you OP.
OP I feel ya, I work in a hotel, and it can be damn frustrating! I love how some of those people that book those rooms feel like they are being cheated because they have to pay for parking etc… Meanwhile there are people occupying other rooms that are paying 200 plus, and are very gracious and treat the staff like gold… I forget where this was meant to be going, but in a nutshell, yeah, I cant explain the phenomena, its cheap ungrateful bastard syndrome i think….
If you don’t like it OB, then quit. Who cares what they paid….maybe they got a sweet deal, they expect the same service. Instead of the guest complaining to you, they should contact the manager or shoot off a call to the hotel’s head office. Guess what, they’ll get some sweeter deals then, and more so if they mention you specifically were unaccommodating of them 🙂
That’s not the point Sebastian. Its not being unaccommodating to people with get these “sweet deals” that is causing the problem, hell i book these rooms all the time for myself and family. Its the people that do this and then complain why they cant be upgraded to the presidential suite for no extra money. and then complain that they are getting the shaft. Its still a business, and you still have to pay for these amenities, whether you agree or not. If you were flying economy with an airline and demanded first class at no extra charge, for no reason other than you wanted it, they would laugh at you.
I love service staff bitches! I’ve been following this section for years, only “joined” now. I’m “wait staff” love it. And this section makes me laugh, I’m not alone. The comments on “puff puff pass” hilarious. By the way, I’ve been a chamber maid, don’t drink from the glasses and mugs in your room or put a sandwich on the spread.
Right on, Kyla. And take the bedspread off and don’t sleep on it. Did you read how many jizz stains they found in DSK’s room at that swanky hotel? on the wall, rug…
First thing I do is take that spread off and chuck it on the floor in the corner…
I work at a hotel as well, and the problem with these super deal sites is that to make any changes in the reservation at all, you have to contact the company…we cannot make any changes in the reservation! You paid them, and they paid us, therefore we cannot alter the terms of the transaction. The customer has to call Expedia or Hotwire or whatever and change it through them, which is a pain. It can take hours to get through to them over the phone because so many people are calling to complain all the time about this very thing.
