There’s always more than one side to the story. I have to wonder why the partner picked up a guy and did this in the first place. The spousal problems might have been pretty bad, and maybe the one who went away wasn’t very nice. It’s interesting to hear why people in relationships have affairs – it’s not always because one is a sex addict or simply a cheat, while the other one is a devoted partner, sometimes it has to do with deeper issues, and irreconcilable differences that tend to get swept under the rug. Now before anyone bites my head off, I’m just sayin’….
I don’t think it really matters what the problems were, or who was causing them. If you want to go and sleep with someone else, leave the other person first. It’s just good manners.
Sounds like you are better off in the end, not withstanding the hurt you were caused when said douche got pounded by some dude in the eating area. Cut your losses, and BTW if she comes slithering around looking for her piece of the financial pie, she hasn’t got a legal leg to stand on, that’s if you were common law or married.
