They are thinking money-grab! Bonus cash! Suckers have no choice! Yeah… just general greed.
The words “popular downtown music festival” and “thinking” should never be used in the same sentence.
That sounds awful petty.
If I were you, I’d show my protesting by never going again.
And telling everyone else to never go again too…
then maybe they won’t bother holding the damn thing anymore
Jazz Hands moonwalking away from the festival Disco-Stu Style.
The festival with a big bank as a sponser? Big surprise then – not. Imagine what they may eventually charge for ice cubes.
Ask them how much for a ‘spit’ cup.
Is this any different than going to a coffee shop and paying $1.50 for a cup of hot water with a 10 cent tea bag and 5 cents worth of milk? or a cup of hot water with about 20 cents worth of coffee grounds dissolved in it and 10 cents worth of cream?
You are paying for the convenience of not having to carry water (or tea or coffee) with you in your own container and then carry that container around with you and home with you to be cleaned. Fifty cents sounds like a bargain.
Well the Jazz fest this year was only on the waterfront and cost $65 a person. Not sure why anyone went really. Certainly not worth the $65!
