To the girl I saw freaking out at her mother in a parking lot in Bayers Lake, for shame!
Yes, I don’t know what your mother said to you, or what she’s done to you in the past, but my guess is you are just an angsty teen. Still, I think you were a little out of line screaming “Don’t get smart with me you fucking whore!” slamming the car door and storming off. I wanted to hug your poor mother and let her know that in 3-5 years, you’ll be sorry for all the crap you put her through. —Zoli

While I agree with the general sentiment OP, I think the way you said it was a little pretentious(?).
And for those of us over 40, we know what would have happened to us if we tried shit like that.
I’m waiting with baited breath for TTFN to make a well informed, articulate response to this situation, she is always the voice of reason in such tender family disagreements ha ha.
Hell, my mother would have given me a right hook that Mike Tyson would have envied. If one of my kids had done that in their teens, I would have calmly got into the car, locked the doors and left the little bitch to stew in the parking lot. Fuck that shit.
I agree with TTFN, I wouldn’t be here now if I tried that bullshit. She would have taken me down a few, and then the old man would have taken it the rest of the way later on. Fuck, I wouldn’t do that shit today!
You said it yourself OP, you have no idea what that mother is like, maybe she deserved it?
No matter what the mothers like IMO, a teen calling her mother a “whore”, deserves nothing but a backhand
I’m with TTFN on this one.
There’s nothing a mother could have done to ever publicly deserve that kind of language. or privately for that matter. My mother would never have back handed me…she would have just said those dreaded words as she bit her lower lip “wait till I tell your father”…..scariest words ever as a child.
My now adult kid apologised to me for all the shit that got thrown my way during the teenage angst years. The one’s capable of maturing usually reach that point.
Now now op … there are some mothers that are, for lack of a better word, bitches.
Ocean, they can apologize all they want but it won’t reverse your graying.
HAHA@over 40 I turn 40 on Saturday! But yes I would know what would happen if I tried that fucking shit. Yo you spoiled little brat, the OP is right but I would replace the word honour with respect. Respect the person who gave birth to your little snotty ass.
the mother called the daughter a whore, that was what i read but i wear thick glasses^^
True dat Bro Tim! I think, though, the ex has a claim on some of those greys, too!
Good gawd if I ever did that to my mom NOW….wait, I wouldn’t ever do that to my mother because I was always taught to respect my parents. Imagine that! If i was saucy to my mom or dad I had to apologize and I was shamed for it. And if I ever DO get pissy at my mom and say anything even seemingly disrespectful she calls me out on it and I feel like a bag of shit. So I tend not to. That and my mom and I generally always got along. Except that one time I packed my barbie bookbag when I was 8 and hit the road because she wouldn’t take me swimming. Got half a block down the road, got hungry and came home. But I digress….
In any event, the mother isn’t totally without sin here — she took that kind of abuse and has probably taken more.
I’m with TTFN on this one. As dr phil says: you are responsible for how people treat you. This mother obviously doesn’t demand respect for her kids who are probably incapable of respecting anyone else because of it.
just another snot nosed big feeling little bitch, thinking that she is all that.m it goes with the rap generation, and the need to be ghetto trash, and o.p., it is working real well. if it was my kid, i would be in jail right now, cause she would never get away with that shit to her mother.
So, her Mom’s a fucking whore……what does this have to do with anyone else? I totally tune others out as their business ain’t none of mine. I am not at home with them nor going home with them so let ’em have at each other.
Mind your Business OP! you gonna start posting on LTWWB about every conversation or argument you see between a parent and child?
vaguely reminds me of one of the most counterproductive phrases I’ve heard in a long time.
From a father to his son; “Respect your mother, you son of a bitch!”
teehee. one of my faves “stop crying or i’ll give you something to cry about”
pk in an earlier bitch about name calling you said your mother and you call each other whores and bitches all the time to each other so make up your mind.
When I was a teenager, I used to throw temper tantrums but not once I thought to insult my own parents. I guess I never learned to do that because I never saw anyone around me do that, including my friends.
Yeah, we say it in a joking way. I would never call my mom a whore for reals.
I think this is a reflection on the ‘spare the rod, spoil the moron….as per BroTim’s response for us ummmmm ,more experienced posters. My mother would have knocked me out, told my father when he got home & then I’d a been sorry ! ! !
But today its all gone retarded.
The bleeding heart idiots ( I think most of them are also members of the nonsmoking nazi’s,but I degress) have pushed for no corporal punishment at home, schools. Kid’s who get in trouble for often very serious crimes are getting a pat on the head & send them home…be good now ! ! ! & we are now reaping the reward for such idiocy.
I grew up in a state of fear…not all the time, just when I was being bad. I knew that if I stole that item from the store I really wanted & got caught, not only would I get arrested & possibly go to ‘Shelburn’ I would get the shit beat out of me at home !
That kind of ‘fear’ for the most part kept me out of trouble, I knew there would be consequences for stupidity, I knew there was different levels of getting in trouble.
Form being grounded to getting my ass beat or if I really broke the law off to jail you went.
The boy’s home in Shelburn was no picnic, as the youth facilities are today & parents would & did beat your ass if you deserved it.
I believe we need to go back to that way of child rearing today…after all how many school shootings do any of you remember hearing about 25 years ago or later ? Or how many children swarming adults do any of you remember ? Sparing the rod is doing worse things IMO than using it did
But when is too much too much. I admit I lost it on my daughter after 2 years of verbal abuse and kicked her out. The thing is she told all the family I dragged her out of bed and kicked her out into the middle of the night. My family is dumb enough to believe it and do not speak to me. So I figure if they want to believe the crap she spews out of her mouth more fool them. Mind you my ex husband just said I will pay your way under the rule no contact with your mother. Such a supporting person been divorced 19 years wish he would get over the hatred.
I have an issue with parents who kick their children out, especially if the child is under 18. I can’t imagine what heinous thing the child would do to deserve that. Now there’s a difference between that and saying you’re going to spend a few months with say grandma so she can knock some sense into you but leaving a child without a roof is unnecessarily cruel in my book.
I agree with More. I’m going to spank my kids. End of story. There is no way my kid is going to run out in the street and I’ll say “ohhh honey don’t doooo thatttt” … uh two slaps on the hand (along with and explanation) and they’ll learn that’s wrong. There is also nothing more frightening than “I’m going to tell Daddy”. Good grief! I remember those days.
Donk 2, I spanked my kid’s … I never beat the shit out of them, but they did get a open hand spanking when they were children & did something that bad.
I prefered to take away their privileges, or ground them…but there were a couple of occassions where they did get spanked by myself or their mum.
THey are all adults now & raise their children the same way. Perfering time outs or grounding & loss of privileges… but when one of my granddaughters was caught last year hitting a tied up dog with a stick…her dad tanned her ass for her. He felt really bad about it, but I believe it was the right thing to do. She sure hasn’t done anything like that since…or she’s been smart enough not to get caught. I believe she learned her lesson.
I have no problem with kicking a very disruptive kid out of a home. If they are committing crimes, doing dope, causing extreme stress for other members of the family, why would you want them to stay. Sometimes for the sake of others you have to cut your losses. I can hear it now, “what a cold blooded bastard”. But realistically what can one do? You can have different kids and one could be an angel, one average, and one a hellraiser. All brought up in the same household and treated equally but being human they forge their own personality in their own way. They make their choices and have to live with the consquences. The problem is that parents wimp out on the consequences.
There are consequences, yes, but personally I would never take the roof away from my child. I don’t care if they’re taking dope etc etc. I would not want my mother to do it to me. Why is the kid taking dope in the first place. Children don’t just go wayward no matter what you say, and it doesn’t just happen over night. You don’t just wake up one morning to freakin’ Jeffrey Dahmer and say I don’t know how that happened. Oh please.
Ah, yes it does. It’s a part of a kid’s psyche. Everybody can think differently. Whether rich or poor. If they didn’t we’d all be the same. Some kids can manipulate others and others are meek. It has nothing to do with how they are raised. Like I said, same household, same parents, treated the same, and one can be an angel and one a hellion. Believe me I’ve seen it. Most times in interrogations they will often say because I wanted to, others will give a sob story but won’t win an Oscar for it.
So Donk what are you going to do with a kid hepped up on dust wrecking your place, assaulting you and their siblings, etc. And why would one sibling behave while the other doesn’t?
Locking her kid out of the house as a parenting technique didn’t work out so well for a certain Mrs Mahaffy.
“hepped up on dust wrecking your place, assaulting you and their siblings” … how’d your kid get there in the 1st place … not overnight, that was my point. Prevent that shit before it happens. Before 18 I would never kick the kid out.The end.
Yes children have different traits but you as a parent have to recognize that.
it’s your job to parent each child in a way that best fits them, which doesn’t equate to raising two different kids the same way.
So according to you the parents are responsible for the Olsens, Barnardos, thieves, rapists, etc even though their other siblings are normal? Sorry it doesn’t wash. How about those raised by alcoholics, drug addicts, criminals, who turn out fine?
So tell me how would YOU stop it of the kid doesn’t want to stop it? How do you keep a kid inside. How do you keep them from associating with “bad” kids at school. You going to stand them in the corner, take away their TV?
Kids are DISQUALIFIED
wtf man … I never said that. I said I don’t want to kick my kids out. I don’t know how I’d deal with it because I have never had to deal with it but kicking them out is last last last on my list. A parent may not be responsible for a kid’s behavior but a parent sees it coming. There are chemical imbalances etc etc that different people suffer from. I think perhaps you’re missing my point and just focusing on the fact that I wouldn’t kick my kids out. One needs to remain perceptive of the emotions actions etc of others and take the necessary steps to help the child or steer them in the correct direction. Now that being said, I am aware of some children that no matter what you do will continue to wander down the wrong path. However, I brought you into this world and I will do everything in my power to make it right until you have become an adult. Thereafter the situation and your actions are out of my hands.
Chances are, if you have a problem child they’ll choose to leave your house on their own accord anyway. I suppose kicking them out could make them think “hey, what did I do to deserve this?” It could cause them to think about their actions and what not. I just don’t think I (personally) could live with the thought that one day my child may think I didn’t love them enough to deal.
Donk, it’s called tough love. And no you don’t kick a kid out lightly, however for the sanctaty of the family it may be necessary. I know all about chemical balance and I also know there are just some plain rotten kids and for that matter plain rotten parents. I’ve dealt with them all.
I should say I didn’t grow up in North America and where I’m from kicking your kids out is unheard of, because let’s face it surviving on “the streets” or just generally alone is a lot easier to do here, but whatever.
That’s why I prob. won’t ever have children. Besides losing my hot bod I wouldn’t want to deal with a feckin’ brat.
“Locking her kid out of the house as a parenting technique didn’t work out so well for a certain Mrs Mahaffy.”
OMG OC I was thinking the exact same thing. I really don’t know how that woman lives with herself considering the fact that if she just answered the door her daughter most likely wouldn’t’ve been tortured and murdered.
I’d NEVER kick my child under the age of 18 out. When you make a child, you’re responsible for that child until he or she turned 18. End. of. story.
My son is almost 19 and he still lives at home and not once have I thought about kicking him out.
Bon, whoever said you would have to kick your 19 yo out. I’m talking about a kid who refuses to change, won’t cooperate with help (medical or otherwise) and is intent on disrupting everything and trying to make everyone miserable.
In the Mahaffy case, get your facts straight. She wasn’t kicked or “locked” out of the house. In fact she frequently ran away. The night of her disappearance at 2am she went home to find the doors locked (normal for just about every home at night. I know my place is locked at night). There is no indication that she knocked on the door or did anything else to make her presence known. In fact she told a friend by phone she was going to return and wake her mother up. She had not been kicked out.
So I could just as easily state the Ms Mahaffy was responsible for her own demise by running away, being out at 2am, going with a stranger, and not waking her family the first time she was at the house. At her age she should have been home in bed but she made choices. That being said, no one deserves to die in the manner that she did.
A few years back, my little brother (he was around 16 at the time) kept doing stupid shit and getting in trouble at school and sometimes with the law. After each of these incidents, my dad would always threaten to kick him out but never did. After one incident, my brother decided he’d had enough and moved in with some friends.
My parents still supported him some, giving him food sometimes, doing his laundry, and gicing him money when he ran out (which was quite frequently). He moved back home maybe 6 months later. I don’t really have a point, it was just a relevant story.
it’s the bitch 195, you don’t need to have a point
Mkay. God my brain is not functioning well this morning. >.<
Org, what was his behaviour like after he moved home?
I don’t really recall, to be perfectly honest as I was away at college for most of the time. Though I know that when he moved in with his friends he pretty much stopped going to school. He just graduated from an “alternative” school in June. It was a year later than he was supposed to, but at least he graduated. He’s actually smartened the fuck up quite a bit since then and ditched some of his loser so-called friends.
Speaking of loud mouthed little bitches…anyone see the teen arrested for shoplifting at Winners on Saturday? Friend of mine witnessed the event…she had a kid too, apparently, and her friend had to take the kid. THe little bitch was apparently yelling and screaming all up in the officers’ faces too.
For some reason these two stories seem related…hmmmm….
Everytime I got through Mwig Mawg mall I see the Paulblarts dealing with someone; usually young, invariably obnoxious.
HAHA year before last at HSC on the 27th of dec I saw these two guards trying to pull apart these two teenaged girls outside of the lasenza. Don’t know what that was about, but when girls fight…damn, they’re more vicious than the guys.
Year before that the two lasenzas had to kick these three teenaged guys (no more than 14, maybe) because they kept trying on the women’s underwear over their clothes in the store and prancing around.
And last week I saw these four kids who were MAYBE 15 standing outside the lasenza talking about what type of thong they were going to get their girlfriends for Christmas. THESE are the types of kids who end up someone’s baby daddy by the age of 16 ffs.
There should be an institution set up where we send kids aged 13-19. And teenagers wonder why adults can’t stand them…
“MAYBE 15 standing outside the lasenza talking about what type of thong they were going to get their girlfriends…” 0.0
To be honest, at 15 the idea of a thong was revolting to me. I mean it’s butt floss.
I think that’s the appeal, Donk. 😛 In all seriousness, though, buying your gf a thong at 15 is pretty ridiculous. Kids these days. *shakes cane angrily again*
WTF…did that truly happen. OP, hope you had your video phone on you.
There should be an institution for you pk.
hello, there is one, it is called LTWWB. she is a fine example of an inmate and commander ivar the jailor, and the rest of us inmates just toe the line here. and i guess by you coming here, now makes you one of us, welcome to the loony bin.
