If there were awards given to local hair salons and a category for “a place you should never set foot in,” this hair salon would without a doubt be the recipient. With an owner who claims to have 20 years of experience, you would think he would have learned a thing or two about how to treat clientele not to mention his employees. A recent victim of a hair promotion at the hands of the owner, I can only say, thank god for toques and that it’s cold out, so that I can hide this disaster which I once called my hair. While the experience was painful, I think the current state of my coif and color is more painful for the others who have to experience it. Perhaps, I should be gracious for these festive red streaks in time for the holiday season? On that note, if you’re looking for a place that is about making an easy buck and pushing product, check it out, you might even have a chance encounter with Scrooge. BAH HUMBUG!!!!
HAPPY HOLIDAYS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR, in the spirit of giving this holiday season, I thought I would tell all my friends.

  1. 20 years cutting hair…..funny.

Even funnier that the person cutting it is a man. He needs to get a real man-job.

  2. Just curious, when you say “hair promotion”, do you mean a sale on services, or a Hair Show? Because if you mean a Hair Show, you should have known what you were getting yoursef into – a word to the wise for any woman (or man) who volunteers as a Hair Show Model – you’re NOT going to get a “nice trim and some highlights”…

  3. Need a haircut? I’ve got a pair of scissors. I can cut hair.

There’s also a place in the West End near The Pubs called “Cousin’s Barbers” which I hear is good.

  4. In most cases, if you are unsatisfied with your hair you can return and tell them you are not happy and they’ll do the best to fix it. That’s what I’ve done in the past when I wasn’t happy. Considering the cost of a haircut and color ($100+), you should be able to request a different hairdresser from that salon and have them at least fix the color if the cut is beyond repair.

First Cousins barber shop is awesome, if you’re a guy, drop in for a cut and shave….you will not be disappointed! Great guys!
