I am sure this is not a new bitch but, what is wrong with holding the door for people instead of letting it slam in someone’s face or squeezing your body through the door just before it closes. And, while I’m at it… if I hold the door for you say “Thank you”!!!

I encounter this kind of rudeness all the time. Instead of expecting a reward for it, just think, “well, aren’t I a do-er of good deeds” and give yourself a well deserved pat on the back. To the door slammers, karma pops up even in the smallest forms, such as in wedgies.
does this really happen all the time?
I get maybe a couple people a month tops that don’t say thanks or hold the door when I’m approaching. Do I live in some parallel halifax? or is downtown more friendly than wherever you people experiencing this live and work?
I am truly baffled.
zzz i totally agree maybe your numbers are even high…also who really cares omg they didnt thank me I NEED to be thanked!…off to the internets
I also live right downtown so maybe that is it.
I don;t care if people say thank you or not. A little smile is enough. But I do hate it when people try and slip out of the door while you are holding it without even putting their arm out…. like when you are holding it open for them to take over. They like half walk out and then jump to the side…as to not touch the door…anyone know what I mean?
Walmart is the worst, although I try to avoid the place. Most of its customers have no social skills at all.
