To all you people whose time is sooo valuable that you can’t hold the elevator door for 2 or 3 seconds, and who pretend not to see the person hurrying for the elevator while the door slides shut: I hope you hit every red light on the way home. Twice. I hope every time the light turns green, there is a cyclist in front of you waiting to turn left. I hope old ladies pushing walkers cross every crosswalk in your path, and I hope the sign changes from “slow” to “stop” every time you approach roadwork. May the highway of your life be devoid of passing lanes and populated by old guys in hats driving 50. Assholes.

  1. This is truly a great bitch… and yes, it fucking sucks MAKING EYE contact with someone standing in the elevator, and they STILL let it close… This happens to me DAILY… HOWEVER, some people will actually hear my heels clicking, and hold it until I get there (rare occasion tho)I’m starting to to take a little persoanlly 😛

  2. I cannot beleive this happens to you daily CatLady…I’d make sure to catch that closing door for some quality elevator time witchoo… How many floors would we have???

  3. Can we put them in the same category as the people who hold an elevator for their entire office, including Mazie who’ll be out of the can in a minute?

  4. I’ve been there, TTFN! You hold the door for one person, then another person comes running down the corridor. Then another. Where does it end? Seriously though, I can’t imagine it taking more than a minute out of my day to wait for people to get on the elevator, even if they come in a steady stream until the elevator is full. I’m with the OP.And OMG, old guys in hats! Those fuckers are the bane of my existence! I once got stuck behind one of them all the way from Peggy’s Cove to Spryfield.

  5. Floyd, We’d have about 8 floors…. But I’d make it a round trip for you 😉

  6. Old men in hats, nice! I had a friend who always said that, and you think it’s a joke until you start looking at the slow folks, and it’s always an old guy in a hat! I wonder if we paid the squeegee kids to steal their hats if they’d drive faster.

  7. I get pissed off when I actually do hold the door for somebody, andthey go through the one beside it. Those assholes. That’s why Idon’t hold any doors.
