HEY YOU. You hit my friend’s car last night at around 3:00 or 4:00am on Willow St, and left a massive dent in the front of it with no note or anything. I’ve been taking care of her car as she is out of the country, and you have 1. ruined her vacation 2. are costing me a disgusting amount of money for your mistake and 3. made me lose faith in human kind. THE ONE TIME I park on the street and you hit it. I hope you understand how awful that is of you, and I hope you feel terribly guilty about it. If you want to clear you conscience I suggest you reach out to me to fix this. If anyone saw anything last night or has any information at all about this please let me know. I really don’t have money to pay for someone else’s error, and that person should not be able to get away with this. The car that hit it probably has a broken head light as there was pieces all around her car this morning when I found it. —Broke, Angry, but willing to forgive if you come forward

Wasn’t the first error leaving the car in the street?
Oh Willow, how did a boo-boo on a vehicle in Halifax ruin the vacation of the owner who is out of the country? Is the person so traumatized over this that they are unable to function? Huh? YOU were responsible for the care of the vehicle and YOU parked it on the street and YOU told them about the dent. Seems YOU are the upset party here because you are being held responsible for your actions and ”losing faith in human kind” is a little over the top. I can only imagine the drama and theatrics you displayed when delivering this earth-shattering news to your friend.
Perchance it belonged to a BMW suv that was not reported stolen, crashed into a business and two cars on Quinpool Road all the while the perpetrators being caught on videotape. Since it happened almost 7 months ago and no charges were ever laid maybe they are back at it again. In this city if you are wealthy or influential you can almost get away with murder but you can definitely get away with anything else.
There are a number of cars that offer automatic braking as a safety option. Maybe it should be mandatory on all vehicles as a segue to self-driving cars.
Not sure what the big deal is on this one. Insurance will cover this. Unless the owner doesn’t have insurance which would make it illegal to drive in this province.
Deductibles can be a bitch though…
especially around the time of year it’s expected that you get a fuck-ton of stuff for people.
Hi Everybody! Gelukkig Kerstmis!
Jeez, a little harsh, Koda, don’t you think? I feel bad for the OB. Some asshole smashed the car they were babysitting. It sucks. Give the poor guy a break!
