At first I was angry…now I’m just utterly disappointed and upset. Last week someone SMASHED into my car, the car that I worked so hard for…a car that my late-father had always wanted. This happened downtown on Wednesday evening between 5-6pm while I was at the gym. —Deductible Ridden

  1. maybe someone saw it happen but couldn’t let you know for some reason. would be great if they would come forward with at least a make and model. would police investigate this?

  2. happily i have always put the first ding in my cars, which i leave unfixed. so then i don’t worry, and once you bang it up enough, potential dingers leave you the hell alone because you have nothing to lose. bwah hahahahaha

  3. GDM and Paingirl, I swear we are related;P….btw Painy, I still like to call it “duck tape”, or sometimes “quack-quack tape” ;D lol

  4. Downtown as in North Woodside?
Seriously, that really sucks OP I feel for you.
Of course, living down here in the beautiful Annapolis Valley, I never have to deal with that kind of thing.

  5. My parents had their car stolen from their yard in hantsport, reg.

    SO YOUR POINT IS INVALID.

    🙁

  6. “Downtown as in North Woodside?”

Reg OP didn’t mention North Woodside.

What do you have against North Woodside?

  7. “Reg OP didn’t mention North Woodside.”

    No but Reg did! hehehe

As a former South Woodsider, we look on the North side with a feverish scorn (j/k)

No, I’m just having a little fun Crock.

  8. Pbbbbffffttttt, Woodside isn’t even good enough to lick Dartmouth’s asscrack!!!!!

    Oh, wait a minute…

    It is Dartmouth’s asscrack.

  9. Check to see if it was caught on camera! Might not get you anywhere, my side mirror got smashed new years eve right in front of a store camera only to find out that the camera wasn’t working or something. But worth a shot.

  10. zZz… uh.. aesthetics? You can’t pass an inspection with major body damage. So that renders it UNfunctional by law.

Fucking coward. Wonder how many scenes that bastard has fled before yours op.

  11. Point taken… though just yesterday I saw a car with a whole passenger door banged in.
I guess it all depends on the level of smashery having been inflicted here.

    Inspections here are just a money-grab anyways…
entirely too subjective to the mechanic performing them.

I’m sure you could find some out of town shop to give you a pass.

  12. I smacked somebody last year backing out of a parking lot. I went into the establishment and requested that this was announced. I waited outside and the owner of the vehicle came out. To make a long story short we agreed that I pay him $750 (he didn’t want to go through insurance cause estimates would have been doubled). I just couldn’t live with the guilt.

From now on I make sure that I find a parking spot that I drive front out of instead of backing out.

  13. ok senor. the world gets a reprieve. i will hold off on that flood idea i was toying with
