It takes me 8 minutes to drive from the airport to exit 1 on the 102. But once I get close to exit 0, the infamous traffic jam starts.

then I find myself “gosh, it sure would be nice if highway 102 crossed the peninsula somewhere…..anywhere! Atleast most people could get to work without fighting multiple traffic jam syndrome. —proper blvds would help, too.

I think this city needs another bridge or tunnel under the harbour, all cars entering this peninsula is like trying to jam way too many sardines in a small can.

Aside from that you can get off at fall river and cut through Dartmouth…… yes there’s a bridge toll but you more then make up for that with what you save in gas and frustration in traffic.
xen you are missing the point. not everyone comes from the airport. you need to consider other locations too.

op, has it occurred to you that it is exactly people like you who add to the traffic you abhor? do you expect everyone else to stop driving into the core so you can sail in? or do you just want a multi million dollar freeway built over the city so you can arrive faster ( you won’t – it will clog) to spend more time looking for parking?

Try taking a better way in, for instance
Dartmouth highway, right up over the bridge, to barrington downtown.
a quick stop at the bridge and 2-3 lights to stop at and you’re there…
instead of about a dozen turns, lights, and crosswalks.
