Just want to thank those who came to my aid while stranded on the Bedford Hwy recently. Before I even had time to get out my cell phone I had three people stop to offer assistance. With their help and a quick response from CAA, I was on my way again in 30 minutes. I’ve benn here a year now after having lived, travelled and worked all across this country and can say without reservation that Halifax is a great little city and the people here are the best!

We like to stop and help when we can not just because we’re nice people, but also because we’re bored and nosy. My mom’s the same way… whenever we passed an accident, even with paramedics and police already there, she’d “want to get out to see if [she] could help, just in case.” Really she was just more curious than anything!
Great love for us scotians!!!! Shows we can do something nice – I stopped once on the side of the 111 to answer my cell phone and I had within 2 minute a guy pull over to ask if i needed help – I didn’t but was grateful for that because if i did – it was there .
