It never fails. Everytime I drive the 101 through the valley, some cock tries to be the speed queen and pass everyone in sight in an unsafe fashion.

This evening was no different. It doesn’t matter that we’re driving along at just over 100, with a line of 5 trucks in front of us, here comes Mr. silver Mercedes blazing up behind, passing everyone. Big man decides to nudge in behind me about 5 feet off my bumper. Hope you liked my tail lights….dickhead.

Not long after, there he goes passing all those trucks with traffic coming not far off. What’s wrong? Too cool for the speed limit?

This fuck and all like him are the reason people die on these highways. Not the highways themselves.

I was just praying that I’d see his silver wreckage in the ditch. I’d be fun to pull over and piss on him as he tried to crawl to safety.

So, a big fuck you to Mr. Silver Bullet Cocksucker for making the roads safe for all!

  1. If Mr. SBC slammed his precious motordick on the grill of an 18 wheeler, I could care less. But what really honks me off is that innocent people will die because of dumb arsepicks rushing to nowhere.

  2. 101 is known for this… which is why it racks up all the death toll awards. Not twinned most of the way and not enough passing lanes for these speed-turds to use.

  3. If it wouldn’t cause me permanent physical harm and ruin my car, I’ve been tempted to slam on my brakes so people like Mr SBC get the surprise of their lives.

Story: Years ago when my brother was driving to flight school in NB from Halifax he had a Mr SBC come up behind him, bobbing and swerving until he passed, and racing up the road. My brother told us his thoughts at the time were, “That guy is gonna cause an accident.” About one kilometre further along there was an accident. Mr SBC met an 18-wheel transport and lost. His body was compressed by the engine of his own car and his head was in the ditch, separated from his body by the force of the impact. End story.

I do not know the cause of all the highways deaths listed below, but a guess says driver inattention or speed are probably the biggest culprits.

    Highway deaths in 2008 (http://highway103.ca):

    Highway 103 (Halifax to Yarmouth) — 10
    Highway 104 (Truro to C.B.) — 4
    Highway 101 (Annapolis Valley) — 3
    Highway 102 (Halifax to Truro) — 3

  4. When I see people like this, I hope they have a terrible accident which mames them (not kills them), because then they’ll live to realize that they are dickheads. I also hope that innocent people, those who know how to drive, are not taken with them.

  5. When people drive like this, the best thing for you to do is slow down and leave a bit of distance between you and the rest of the pack ahead of you. That way, if there is a crash and then subsequent chain reaction, you will have more than sufficient time to slow down and pull over without hitting anything in front of you and also not being rear ended. Never ever do sudden stopping on the highway as that causes. When there are idiots driving like this, you have to take precautionary measures and stay as far away from them as possible.

  6. So what’s the problem, not your license, insurance or life. If he wants to pass you, so be it, I don’t know why people get cranked over it. Let him go, and let it go, you’re still getting to work on time, and presumably, safe. The problem with the 101 is people are impatient and take risks when they’re following an old fucking hag driving at 80K under perfect driving conditions. There are idiots on every highway, both speed freaks and overcautious slow assed white knucklers who drive in the fucking passing lane. There’s a little invention called cruise control, if more people used it, set a 105, there would be a ,lot less carnage.

  7. Actually yeah, 103 is worse! statistically, this makes me a little happier as I take the 101 and don’t ever recall taking the 103. Is it because it’s more travelled (ie more people live on the route?) or more winding or something?
