Is there anything in the world more annoying than some bimbo in heels walking down a long echo-filled hallway? For all the noise you’re making you might as well be bouncing a basketball. Do you not notice how loud and repetitive your fucking heels are? I can hear you all over this whole godamned building and it makes me hate you. Burn the heels and put on something comfortable (and quiet).

  1. High heels are the most idiotic footwear ever – honestly, I would rather see women wear fucking orange Crocs of Uggs rather than watch them pathetically teetering on five inch nails. Yes, high heels make the leg look great, catch men’s eyeballs but the pain and unnatural position of the foot will catch up with them sooner or later. Like yourself, I detest the sound they make and would like to drive a few heels into the appropriate foreheads.

  2. Hey, it’s not just women who have that problem, men’s dress shoes are becoming increasingly noisy, especially if the riser on the heel is made from wood.

  3. I still associate the sound of high heels with the sound of the teacher coming down the hall to the classroom, so you’d better sit up straight and be good.

  4. I associate the sound of high heels with some menopausal dragon ready to pour verbal flames on some poor underling.

  5. personally i like highheels..i think my lady looks very attractive in them. id rather have her in those than them god dammed detestable uggs. come on ladies, this is not nunavut, you arent heading out to club seals on the ice floes off newfoundland. they are ugly. U..G..L..Y and overpriced.

    long live the high heel.

  6. I wore high heels for ten years because my 1st spouse was into them. But let me tell ya that I suffered every fucking step I took and cursed every time those bastards went over on their sides. When I got divorced, I gace 14 prs. of high heels to the Sally Ann. I’ve been in total comfort ever since and current spouse doesn’t care a bit.

  7. High heels look hot on almost any chick (unless she has cankles, heh) but they are uncomfortable as fuck. I can’t walk in heels because I have an old ankle sprain that fucks with my balance, but DAMN when I try those fuckers on they look HOT. Especially the brightly coloured shiny ones with sparkles…*sigh*

The most I can manage in heels is a teetering shuffle so I stick to kitten heels or flats, and honestly, I’m not the only one who can’t walk in heels. Some girls wear them anyway and look like they’re about to fall over at any moment. Walking in heels is a skill, and some of us just don’t have it (it always amazes me how SJP can RUN and JUMP in 5 inch heels in SATC. Shit).

  8. Kitty, I’m pretty sure it’s because she’s paid to.
Give me a salary like that and I’ve give ‘er a couple tries at Donovan Bailey’s time.

I think I’m starting to see more platforms out there now anyways. Those huge chunks of cork or foam things…..

  9. I’m with Pretty Kitty, heels make any girl look hotter. I’m short, so they give me some height and elongate my figure. Can’t complain there.
Sometimes putting on a nice outfit and a pair of fuck-me heels is a nice little boost of confidence, and you just feel good. If someone has to listen to a bit of click-clacking from me once in a while, so be it. I doubt it’s killing anyone.

  10. I have boots that have barely any heel on them, but the material makes them click when I walk. If I’m in a library I feel bad and try to tiptoe a bit/walk really slowly so they don’t make noise, but just walking down the street/hallway, give me a break; your iPod or inane conversation are just as loud.

  11. Get a life. People don’t buy their shoes for the noise they make. And, not all of us want to run around in UGG-ly’s, Crocs or Fugly skate shoes.

  12. I for one wear heels all the time!!! And I am certainly not about to stop because some people don’t like the noise they make, if it bothers you that bad, stay out of public places, I would never, ever wear Uggs or Crocks, comeon now, lets get real. Everyone one has different tastes, and I am sure some of you who complain about the heels do not always dress the best…. Heels do and always will make some women feel better about themselves. So let it be and leave us alone!!!!!

  13. I have the ability to walk in heels, and I enjoy them – to look at, to have looked at (mind you, their uses end there unfortunatuely). You can judge me all you like, but if Im doing boring house work Ill wear heels and have a better time of it. Yes they can hurt your feet, but so can sneakers if you buy a poorly made pair! The same applies with anything you put on your feet – you need to buy good quality and wear them with intelligence. E.g. dont wear your five inch stilettos when its snowing out…

But anyway… I dont think Ive made a point here – except for saying I like heels. And the sound they make, not going to lie – I think its sexy. (Depending on how echo-ey the hallway is!)

PS. First choice of shoe for me though, dress loafers – for the win.
And Zzz, I think you mean wedges, not platforms. Our society is only deteriorating slowly! No worries :).

  14. ah… thanks for clearing that up.
Being a guy, I didn’t know the difference.
    I have 3 pairs of shoes….
    1 – sandals for summer/balcony
2 – runners for every day use
3 – the old pair I had before the runners that leak but I don’t throw them out because they kinda still work on non-rainy / non-wet days or the days that ice is melting all over the place.

    🙂
