I know we decided that we should take these next couple months apart to figure out what we want, and cut all contact. I might not be breaking that agreement, because I don’t know if you read these when I’m not there. I just want to say thank you for being wonderful. You’ve always been there when I’ve needed you, and now you’re not being there when I need you to not be there. I hope you can forgive me. I sent everyone a postcard today, except you. I hope you find this hidden postcard. —From Vienna to Halifax

Duh, I’ve been reading these every day you crazy girl.
We are two ships each of which has its own goal and course. Our paths may cross and we may celebrate a feast together, as we did – and then the good ships rested so quietly in one harbor and in one sunshine that it may have looked as if they had reached their goal and as if they had but one goal. Maybe our paths will intertwine again someday.
