I always think of legitimate massage therapy being offered in, well, Massage Therapy clinics, Chiropractic offices, or Physio clinics, day spas, etc.”Massage parlour” does suggest a “gentleman’s club” type of thing that you wouldn’t tell your female friends you visited…

It doesn’t matter, after a few clinicals RMTs accept that while they’re waiting for their clients to get dressed after their treatment, they could be in that room doing anything, including further soiling the dirty laundry. Seasoned RMTs are used to dealing with erections, come-ons and inappropriate behaviour. Understanding the misconceptions about massage therapy and dealing with them professionally is part of the profession, that’s something you can’t be taught. You either have that level of self-security, or you don’t. If you’re that offended with the idea of people thinking you’re a rub n’ tugger, you need a little more experience, in my opinion. Homie didn’t even insinuate that.
