IT IS STLL AN ILLEGAL ACTIVITY!!!! Not to mention that there are kids walking through there on a regular basis! The next time I see that shit I will call the cops on your sorry asses, no if ands or buts. I also called your landlord and left a message. FUCK YOU

  1. actually.. you are wrong. it is perfectly legal to smoke it. its posessions and trafficking that are illegal.that, and take a chill pill. its not the end of the wrold, to see some ‘young people’ smoking a joint. were they vandalizing property? were they assaulting anyone? were they defecating in public spaces? no. then as long as you or anyone can smoke a cigarette in public, others should be able to smoke something else in public.if there werent kids around when they were smoking it, that means they were prudent enough to make sure they arent around kids.you complaining about young people smoking pot on a nice summer day in a canadian university town, is like complaining that people are going to be drinking at irish pubs on st patrick’s day. its a given.

  2. well golly gee….the cops that I spoke to seemed to think it was still illegal….thanks for the illumination….fuckin’ lyin’ cops….thing is….next time it will be someone passing a crack pipe around or maybe something worse….we have laws for a reason….so….in several words…go fuck yourself and read up on the laws

  3. “others should be able to smoke something else in public”….so how far would you liek to take this???? crack? crystal meth? heroine???? just where do we draw a line?

  4. “others should be able to smoke something else in public”….so how far would you liek to take this???? crack? crystal meth? heroine???? just where do we draw a line?

  5. LOL Dude, omg no way, I can’t believe they were smoking pot, OMG lol hahahahahahahhahahah this is just funny! Chill!!! Also FYI if you call the cops on them, betcha they won’t show up till there gone anyways, and more then likely they won’t do anything!

  6. The thing I love about weed is by the time the cops get there the joint is gone.Sucka. Report real crimes you fucking nancy.

  7. Cyril: no, actual ingestion of marijuana (or any other drug in fact) is legal. it is the possession of the substance as you are ingesting it, is what makes it illegal. there IS a difference. and if that is what the cops tell you, i would check their credentials. there is no law on the books, that can have you charged with ‘consumption of a controlled substance’. only possession.and i would have no problem whatsoever with people smoking heroin (up until now, i did not know you can, and that it is illegal, to smoke a female hero, or a heroine) on the street. when they smoke it, you know they are not a die-hard addict, but rather a casual user. hardcore addicts inject heroin intravenously, not waste it by smoking it, as an injection provides are much faster, and intense ‘rush’, as opposed to any other method of consumption (ie smoking, insufflating, or ingesting).and if someone is smoking meth, or crack on the street, they need not to be arrested, but given an option to cure themselves of the addiction. drug addiction is not a criminal issue, rather it is a medical issue, and should be dealt accordingly.

  8. its about as illegal as drinking a beer in public, which I know is illegal but do you think this guy would be so pissy over say someone drinking a beer at the beach.Biggest difference prolly is the fine for possession under an oz is about $100 less then open booze in public. The gateway drug thing is weak too, if you like to smoke weed then move onto crack or coke its cause you wanted to. Ohh man i was so stoned but instead of cookies I went and dropped half my rent on an 8 ball. Most of the people I know who do hard drugs do that shit when they are drunk or do them when they are going out to the club.grindcore seems a little miss informed “decriminalized” and “legal” are two different things. Also how is someone supposed to smoke a j if they don’t possess it? Unless they meant that it is not illegal to be high walking around or whatever which I believe is true.Fuck this OP though, blaze that shit and if he/she calls the cops pay ur fine(if you get one, prolly like 50/50 chance) then find a new place to smoke. How are they evicted for smoking pot outside of their apartment?…sorry to tell you the LL is prolly just humoring you so you cant tell the cops that he didnt do anything.

  9. so i guess the crime that comes along with people smoking their shit in public is okay too?

  10. also, i quite like how I am being called names and told to “fuck myself” in this argument. how very mature of Cyril/angry dude. bravo, maybe i should learn a thing or two from you. like, when my side is losing in an argument, i should resort to name calling and personal attacks. gee, maybe that way ill get to be da president o’ da world! omfg! yayyz lookz at me, me so tuff my balls are made of rawhide! yeah! i get short tempered in an internet argument, and prove my point by swearing! im so tuff ill have a protein drink right now, and then ill go the gym and lift some weights. YEAH!geez, thanks Cyril! you really taught me a lot today.

  11. nah, the crime that comes with it, is a crime thanks to racist views of Emily Murphy. go read her book “the black candle”, and while you are at it, watch reefer madness, to see where the prohibitionist mentality came from. and unless you agree that it is just certain races that perpetuate the drugs, then you’ll see how ridiculous this ‘war on drugs’ is.

  12. cyrilwhat crime is associated with young people smoking a joint in a parking lot, most likely because their building is smoke free, or maybe it was just a nice day?

  13. grindcore, there’s really no point in arguing with a straight edge like that. No matter what you say.weeds bad mmmkay.

  14. T: that’s how pot is illegal in canada, you can consume it, you just can’t possess it. it has nothing to do with decriminalization, legalization or anything else.

  15. you’re weedman Grindcore??? so answer my question about the crime that goes along with this shit???

  16. Give me fucking strength. What do you expect from teenagers? To be holding Bibles and exchanging verses? So they smoked a little pot, big woof. Better that than boozing it up and getting behind the wheel of a car. Cut them some slack, for crying out loud.

  17. iunno.. am i a weedman? what the hell is a weedman anyways? im not made of weeds.. there’s no dandylions sticking out of me..what crime that goes along with it? oh yeah… stoners routinely hijack planes, commit investor fraud, and kill heads of states. i forgot about that.i dont know what you are talking about.. what crime does go along with this ‘shit’? my bet, is exact same crime that goes along with tobacco, alcohol, cough syrup, and coffee.

  18. ok i guess my question is how do you consume it without possessing it? Or are we talking about after the fact?To my knowledge possession under an oz is decriminalized and treated like a speeding ticket would. But over an oz is treated as intent to distribute and a federal offense.I agree with yourmom as that strait edge cannot provide examples of the crime associated with it.

  19. the crime is all around us and it’s all due to drugs (or most anyway)…I am for zero tolerence…hell since I quit drinking…I’m for prohibition (seriously)

  20. its not decriminalized in Canada. it was for a summer in 03 i believe (when the law was taken off the books), but not now.the deal with the consume-possess is, exactly that; according to the law, you can not legally consume marijuana, because any consumption implies possession at the moment of consumption. however, it prevents police from charging you, even if you are obviously stoned, because technically you could get stoned without possessing (an unbelievably immense amount of smoke got in the airducts for example, and you got second hand high).if the cop ctaches you smoking a joint, and decides to take it to the full extent of the law, you will be charged with possession, and possibly with trafficking (if you were passing the joint), but no consumption/being under the influence/anything else.

  21. The decriminalization of possession under an oz never actually passed. It was talked about but once Harper own office it was killed. So it is still illegal to possess it but most cops won’t even waste their time. Too much paper work.

  22. i see.. and all drugs = marijuana. right? i mean, i tried pot when i was a teenager, that means that in a couple of years, i will be robbing banks to support for simultaneous crack/heroin/meth addiction. right?open your eyes my friend, did the prohibition in the 20s/30s wipe out drinking? NO! in fact, it made it socially accepteable for women to be drinking, and it made binge drinking a lot more prevalent. so it achieved the OPPOSITE effect of what it was intended for. just like ANY prohibition will.look at Holland, something like 99% of their heroin addicts, got addicted before they decriminalized pot, and now they have lower marijuana use rates then just about any western country.

  24. haha…soo funny…i have no good points or anything to back them up with but im right hahaha….Your an obvious hypocrite anyways. “hell since I quit drinking…I’m for prohibition (seriously)” you can fuck right off. Enjoy it up there on your high horse I bet you would have felt pretty strongly in opposition to that while you drank. But you dont drink now so ban it.So trust me with your small/closed minded stance on issues such as this you lose! But if you really feel your right about the how law thing perhaps you should check this outhttp://www.cbc.ca/canada/story/2007/07/13/pot-toronto.html

  25. “I win you lose”oh man. thats THE most convincing argument EVER! i have seen the errors of my ways! i will now repent, join an evangelical bootcamp, burn every singly piece of music i own (for none of them would be created without pot somewhere down the line), and even vote conservative!this point… has so much depth to it.. so much.. inner wisdom… like.. whoah!

  26. Part of the responsibility of being a marijuana smoker is knowing when and where it’s okay to smoke. It’s one thing to have a toke at Peggy’s Cove at 3am, but it’s another to smoke a j outside your apartment blgd. when the kiddies are coming home. For 27 yrs. I’ve been smoking it, and I’ve never been busted for it, nor have any of my neighbors complained. I take precautions in order not to piss my non-stoner neighbors off, like having a fan in my window to suck out the smoke, as well as a nice sandalwood incense burning near my door. I just wish more of my stoner neighbors did the same. A little irony for everyone: the fine for smoking a cigarette on hospital property is MORE than if you were caught smoking a joint. WTF?

  27. Congratulations on quiting drinking. However I cant help but feel it must have been a few years to late. You post alcoholism diminished brain function people are tooooo funny!

  28. lol, Cyril actually I don’t smoke pot, but I could care less if anyone does, also the only reason i called you dude was because you name is angry dude, come on duuddddee get with it! Like for real!

  29. OP, the name-calling happens when you prove yourself to be a fucking worm! You should just mind your own business! You MUST have something better to do than be a fucking tattle tale messing with other people’s lives. They were evicted because you have a big mouth? The landlord aught to be hung for letting you meddle.Grindcore, the quickest way to your brain is through your lungs. Do your research before you decide that only hard core drug users inject their drugs of choice. In fact, this through the lungs method of absorption thingy is why crack is so addictive.Comparing pot to crack… *shaking my head* GET A CLUE! Cyril, you’re fucked, man! Crime had been around since the book of Genesis. The recovering alcoholic would prefer to not have to be strong so prohibition is a favorable thing. Just realize in doing so you remove an essential freedom from our way of life. To think drugs cause all crime… ah man!!! I can’t even say the words. Just go bang your head off a brick wall for a while. Geeze.Pot is a gateway drug only because when the user wants to escalate experimentation the only black market contact they have is their pot dealer. Legalize pot and your remove the “gateway”.Recommended reading for all: The Emperor Wears No Clothes, published by NORML

  30. Pot is definitely NOT a gateway drug. That’s propaganda coming from many drug czars who’ve been fighting “The War on Drugs”. People make the CHOICE to escalate their drug experimentation, and that choice isn’t because they smoke a doob. People shouldn’t have a criminal record for a bit of pot. Along with Kay’s suggested reading “The Emperor Wears No Clothes”, everyone should check out the documentary “Grass” by Ron Mann, and narrated by Woody Harrelson. Then, folks will see what “The War on Drugs” is really all about.

  31. I really hope those people didn’t actually get eviceted for smoking pot.Open your fucking eyes…It’s pot! I’ve been smoking pot for yaers, I’m by no means a “pothead” but calling it a gateway drug is sooo weak. I’ve never done any other drug even though I’ve received many offers. This bitch/thread is fucking hilarious. I’d like to see the fucking cops do something about a couple of teenagers smoking pot. There’s nothing wrong with enjoying a nice joint on a nice day, and I guarantee you, that when your kids grow up, they’ll probably try it too. Shit like this is part of growing up. I’m sure you did it. Regardless of whether you did or not, I’m sure your kids could easily be forced into believing that what they were smoking was a cigarette.Weed is awesome. C’mon, everyone smokes pot.Asshole.

  32. Not “everybody” smokes weed…I’ve never smoked weed. Hell, I’ve never even put as much as a regular cigarette to my mouth. But if other people want to do it, why should I care, as long as it doesn’t affect me. It’s called “minding my own business”.

  33. Drugs are bad, mmmmmmm-kay! Don’t do drugs, mmmm-kay, because it will ruin your brain.

  34. Whenever 1 person starts to take up the whole “recent comments” section, I can’t help but think……Is that you gingy/ali?

  35. hey buddy, go fuck yourself.people smoke weed everywheres, its the cigarettes competition nowadays, and well do it where ever we fuckin please. i completely understand that you should not do it around kids, and i agree. they will find out on their own. if you call the cops, they will think you are fuckin retarded, because no one simply cares. shut the fuck up. call the cops on us, go for it. if you tell me not to fuckin smoke while i am, i can assure you that ill tell you to eat shit and fuck off.

  36. Don’t tell me Fuck,,, I can guess…You just completed a Dale Carnegie course and you’re here to try out your new set of social skills. Bravo…!!!

  37. Eff You See Kay, your eloquence and charm are blinding.I especially love how you’re telling people who posted 6 weeks ago to shut the eff up… seems to me like they did.

  38. Read it again. It’s spelled phonetically because i’m at work. it’s not a reference to you.

  39. Qwerty was talking to FUCK but she spelled it out “eff you see kay.” She didn’t mean to type your name.Chill out Until Next Time!

  40. I was typing at the same time as Qwerty and didn’t know she already responded.Cannabis Users are Never Terribly quick

  41. Uh, because she and i posted within seconds of one another? If you’re referring to the other part of my post, it is a well know stereotype about potheads. Perhaps not true in all cases and i certainly wasn’t din g anything more than making a silly quip.I’m Childish, Unruly, Naughty, and Tricksie!
