To the rude bitch on the bus sitting across from me and my six-year-old son. My kid was just sitting there, happily making “Whooopp!” noises. After about 10 minutes of his little shouts, you let out a loud sigh and asked me, “Is your kid mentally handicapped? Is that why he’s making all that racket?” Then after I told you no, you go “Well, then can you please shut him up! That’s some goddamn annoying!” Okay, he was being a little loud and saying it over and over, but he didn’t mean to make anyone upset! He’s six years old! He was just being a kid. Kids make silly noises sometimes! Lady, you’re in a public place where you’re gonna have to deal with other people. I couldn’t believe you could act like that about a child. This city is so full of friendly tolerable people, but people like you give it a bad name! —Loves Her Little Boy

  1. BAHAHAHA.

I hate to break it to ya, but that lady was probably only saying what everyone else wish they could.

PS: I see plenty of kids on the bus who don’t make loud annoying noises, so this whole “kids will be kids” line is bullshit.

  2. I agree! Teach your children manners! Else they’ll grow up to be the inconsiderate likes of you, parent(s)!

  3. kids are fucking stupid and anyone who has them in this day and age is a moron, especially poorly behaved little shits like your walking turd on the bus.

  4. 6 years old is not exactly too soon to be teaching little Arsenio how to behave in a public place. There are lots of irritating things to be endured when riding on the loser cruiser; most of them are preventable. That being said, your nemesis sounds like a crunt.

  5. We (siblings) were taught to behave in public. We didnt have tantrums and we didnt annoy people. When we went to the grocery store we followed behind mum, didnt touch the shelves. If we were at a restaurant we quietly chattered and kept our butts in our seats. Thank goodness we didnt have to take the bus, but if we did we would have sat quietly there as well. 10 minutes of whooping would make me want to give him shaken 6 year old syndrome. It was a teachable moment that you failed to notice.

  6. my little bugaboo makes strange sounds too o.p., fuck them all. just tell them to mind their own fucking matters. when we travel by bus, she usually is fairly quiet, and enjoys the ride. but sometimes she gets a little excited about going someplace with her grampy, and let’s it out.
if people can’t handle that, then they should find another way to get to where they are going. granted some kids do make a hell of a racket, and the parent/s? don’t try to quell the excess noise. but that is seldom. there have been a few bitches here about these parents.
i never take my car or bike, when i pick her up, or drop her off. terrified that some idiot will nail me and she gets hurt. i am a safe driver, and very cautious, but there are those out there, that haven’t got clue one. these are the ones i stay away from. and oh yes, she loves the big bike, and the rumble it makes, when i start it. but i would never take a chance with her on it with me. i love my little one to much to chance it. so o.p., you were well within your right, to tell them to go pound sand, or even worse. have a pleasant day, and be safe.

  7. I’m 100% behind the ‘rude bitch’.
my day can go from tolerable to seriously annoyed and aggravating when dealing with kids and the idiot parents that let them just do whatever the hell they want.

If you condone that behavior on the bus, you’re part of the reason the bus is so horrible.

Passengers using audio/video equipment are asked to use earphones and adjust the volume accordingly as to not disturb other passengers.
your audio equipment (ie. kids damn voicebox) was disturbing a passenger (ie. everyone)
if I don’t want to listen to whatever (likely god aweful) music you want to, what makes you think I want to hear your annoying kid warbling away like a drunken monkey.

  8. When I first read this, I though it took place on the beach for some reason. O.o After re-reading it, though, I completeley side with the “bitch”. I’d get pretty pissed off if a kid was making loud “woops” for 10 minutes, or if anyone else was making any sort of loud noise. I’m far too nice/chickenshit/socially awkward to actually do anything about it, though.

  9. I understand that your child is special to you OP as he should be. He isn’t that special to other people as horrible as that might sound though. Children need to understand the impact of their behavior on others at the earliest possible age and that adults are in charge, a lesson that is getting lost these days.
I don’t want to deny his freedom to go “whoop”, just when and where to do it. I’m quite sure if I took a parakeet that squawked incessantly on the bus you would say “that’s just annoying, he should find another means of getting that bird around” and you’d be right.
Children aren’t the centre of the universe, there just one of us, eventually.

  10. Wow. Okay OP, ignore pretty much everyone who wrote before me here. it is NEVER appropriate for someone to use rude language in front of a child and their mother on the bus and I think it’s bizarre that the people on here think that it’s fine. if someone was annoyed, then they could have said something POLITELY.

  11. oh my, sorry to read someone would say something like that, i’m sure it was one of those moments were you say something, the realize after, i said that, well it’s summertime enjoy it with ur son, heck ur only litte once

  12. lilac, if she had been parenting and rule abiding, nothing would have been said.
she was rude because she was being annoyed for 10 minutes straight.
    Like the OP said,
“Lady, you’re in a public place where you’re gonna have to deal with other people.”

  13. This must be what the parents of the kids who bullied that bus monitor think. Their precious little ones can do no wrong.
OMG, don’t correct MY child. And the child receives no real preparation for life in the real world.
Try wooping for ten minutes on a bus when you are 12, or 14. I’d bet he’d get pummeled by his peers…This “mom” is totally dropping the ball here. This kid isn’t at fault, she never taught him any better. And she will only get defensive about this response, it won’t make her open her eyes. The cycle continues.

  14. Oh great, another child being raised to think all behavior is appropriate at anytime or anywhere. At 6 years old, your precious little ray of sunshine should have been taught impulse control already. In most peoples eyes there is no excuse for bad parenting, and no doubt, this woman’s frustration with your lack of respectful parenting got the best of her. Could she have been more polite? Sure, but so could you.

  15. The bus bitch maybe should have been more polite, but mom should ABSOLUTELY be teaching the
kid that a ten minute game of WhoopWhoop on the bus is rude as fuck for the other riders.

I LOVELOVELOVE kids, but I hate when parents are so blinded by their love that they let the kid get away with anything because they think they’re being kind to the kid.

Hey mom, you and Jr were in the wrong. Teach your kid what is appropriate on a public bus, and don’t make it sound like the public are being assholes for not thinking every Whoop is a gift of melodious music from Gawd.

    Wp
I’m done with Seb’s dick, Grampie. You still want Sloppy Sebbie Seconds?

  16. If you can’t be bothered to tell your kid to shush because you’re too busy checking Facebook on your phone you should expect someone to say something. The bitch was rude as fuck and shouldn’t speak like that to/about your kid but had you parented properly there wouldn’t have been any comment. Your fault, you caused your child’s feelings to be hurt by not giving him the guidelines he needs to be part of society.

  17. I remember once I was with a friend in a restaurant. The kid in the booth behind us kept banging on the seat, bothering my friend (it was really over the top). My friend wouldn’t say anything, so I spoke up and said “could you please have your kid stop banging on my friends’ seat? Thanks”

    Their response?

“I’ll ask him, but I can’t guarantee anything”

    SERIOUSLY.

I can’t help but think of this woman when people like OB post bitches like these.

PS: I see tons of awesome kids on the bus. If these kids can behave themselves, why can’t your kid, OB? Oh wait, I know: because you haven’t taught him otherwise.

The sooner you teach him the world doesn’t revolve around him, the better off he’ll be. Seriously! Do your kid a favour! When he’s in his 20s and can’t get a date because he’s a social retard and annoying as FUCK, he’ll have you to thank for it.

  18. 16 dislikes, what are you people, fucking kid haters. remember this bunch of fucking douchebags, you were one too. i really hope all the kids in your areas get together when school gets out, and makes fucking noise all day and evening long, til time they go home for whatever reason. my little one is well behaved, and very seldom makes a fucking peep, as i said. but know what, fuck you all, and get bent, you kid hating fucks.
don’t i just wish that we could check to see the assholes that do those dislikes. would be very interesting.

  19. We’re not kid haters — we’re ‘douchebag parent’ haters.

if your granddaughter is as well behaved as you say, I’m sure she’s a delight.

We don’t blame the kids, it’s the parents who don’t do their jobs properly.

There are plenty of great kids out there these days.

The best thing my mother ever did for me was to tell me the universe doesn’t revolve around me and to fight my own battles. And she told me to stfu when I was being annoying in public. So guess what? By the age of three I fucking knew better.

No temper tantrums or yelling on the damn bus for this kid.

  20. I’m with the majority here, OP: you are NOT the victim in this situation. You are yet another parent who thinks the world revolves around their kid just because your world does.

I usually bypass the parent and go right to the kid. One time, on a plane, this imp of Satan was rhythmically kicking the back of my seat. I reached my hand back on the aisle side ever so slowly, and waited for the foot to come to me. Then quick as a snake I had that little sucker’s ankle in a vice like grip.

I simultaneously turned around and in the sweetest, kindest ‘auntie’ voice said “would you mind dear, NOT kicking my seat?” then slowly and gently letting go of his ankle while maintaining unblinking eye contact.

    Worked like a charm.

  21. Another fucking useless parent with a jello backbone who won’t tell her/his kid to behave. 10 minutes of stupid kid noise is more than any sane adult should have to endure in an enclosed space. Thanks, OP, for yet another additon to this generation of self-centered twats – like we don’t have enough of those already.

  22. If he was three, you would one hundred percent right, OP. But six? The age of reason is right around the corner. Better get started.

  23. —–
    16 dislikes
    —–

Well, they disliked *your* post, so they disliked your post, not kids. Apparently you said something most people think is either bullshit or they don’t agree with. Try not to take it personally. As nice as it was to see 11(and counting) likes on my comment, it is what it is.

I think peoples’ point here(and they’re even saying it explicitly, so it’s pretty obvious), is that they don’t like asshole parents who allow their children to annoy everyone around them, and refuse to teach the child the world doesn’t revolve around then.
And the 16 dislikes indicate they don’t like your posts. And for someone who claims to not care about Summits or Dislikes, some people certainly sook about these things. Constantly.

And I’m guessing the identities of the dislikers is no mystery. I can guess the majority of them by reading the thread.

    Wp

  24. So the “rude bitch” waited 10 minutes to say something and before she does, she asks if your child is mentally handicapped (people with autism, turrettes, etc will do things like this) and when you say no she tells you to keep the kid quiet. I agree her language wasn’t the best but YOU didn’t teach the child proper manners and did nothing to keep him quiet. I bet if some kid was playing loud music near you, you’d be here bitching about that

  25. The universe must be broken because Bro Tim took pretty much took the exact words outta my mouth. I’m off to buy some lotto tickets now.

  26. really paul, well no, i don’t give a fuck who likes or dislikes what i say. it is after all, my opinion, just like everyone else has one.and my opinion was that people seem to be kid haters, read the comments yourself. yes parents a lot of the blame, but some older kids should know better. and some of these kids today, might just grow up to be the ones that will snuff you out in the years to come. the goverment makes it hard to correct kids today, what with all that mental abuse bullshit. if you even think of spanking a kid now, you could wind up in jail.
so that is why, i figure, why most parents just don’t give a fuck anymore. but my baby’s good, and one of the best behaved you could ever hope to see. she knows that grampy will be upset at her, if she misbehaves, and that would just about kill her. to have me upset at her.
she’s the same at home. and no paul, i really don’t give a fuck about those summits. one was okay, but more than that, they become stale and boring.to each their own tho.

  27. Well it *is* pretty cut and dry, Thomas.

The woman on the bus probably could have been a little more diplomatic. However, we *are* only getting one side here. Little Johnny’s mom isn’t exactly going to paint a bad picture of the little tyke. The woman could have been sweet as pie and Mom likely would’ve painted a very bad picture of her regardless.

Obviously this parent doesn’t visit ltwwb very often because if she did, she’d know she would get lambasted. haha

Either that or zilla’s put one over on all of us in the best troll scheme EVER.

  28. @ secretagent
We (my siblings) also followed behind our mother like ducks in a grocery store.

Like I said before. How my mother managed seven kids and some parents these days can’t even control one.

  29. Here’s the thing: parents are so freaking scared to damage their child’s fragile psyche that they allow the kids to run wild and do whatever the heck they want.

OB, I have a four-year-old and another little imp on the way. I love my kid(s). But there is a time and a place for “kids to be kids” and on a bus full of tired people on their way home from work is not that time or that place.

When my kid is singing or whooping at home, we let him have at it. In public where he is around other people who may not find his precocious antics as adorable as I do, he minds his manners, sits up straight, and is told to be polite when he starts whooping like a banshee.

As I said before, there is a time and a place for kids to be kids. The bus is not that place. Nor are most restaurants that don’t include toys with their meals, waiting rooms, or shopping malls.

  30. “…don’t i just wish that we could check to see the assholes that do those dislikes.”
“well no, i don’t give a fuck who likes or dislikes what i say.”

you could be in the circus with the lightening speed you can backpedal.

  31. I don’t post bitches. It’s a cheap way to troll all of you. Every time someone posts a bitch that is in any way something one of you disagrees with you all go insane and act like someone fucked your mothers. Sometimes I think the OB actually did fuck your mothers….I mean why else would all of you take the bitches so seriously and personal.

Honestly, I don’t even need to troll anymore as every single bitch that gets posted trolls all of you anyway rendering my efforts moot. I’m going to stop posting on this account and make a new one. I’ll slip back into the community without trolling. This way I’ll be able to show up to a future summit to see Mel stuff a hard benny in her mouth……

“I just sit there and stuff a hard Benny in my mouth”

    http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lm8vb5g7…

There you go Mel. FYI I’m not even close to the 40-99 age range.

  32. Sorry PK >: ( I figured since NSFW popped up so many times in the article, I didn’t have to. (Heh heh heh)

  33. I would never allow my child to act like that anywhere. That shit is just plain annoying. I would, however, point out to my child how annoying it is and say “See, that’s why I don’t let you do whatever you want, because you’re a kid and you don’t realize that some things are SUPER annoying to others.”

  34. PK, ivan’s link had NSFW in the url.
you don’t check url’s before you click on them?
    tsk tsk…
glad I’m not your tech support.

    good article btw.
while I’d be terrified to see half the kids out there handle a machete,
it’s the ‘norm’ out there and somehow just works.

  35. I have an apple. I don’t *need* tech support.

For some reason, the 3 year old that could bake cupcakes on her own blew my mind to shit more than the machete kid.

    lol.

  36. you’re free to waste all the money you want on proprietary, overly-valued pieces of shit.

iTunes can suck sebasians big ol’ donkey balls… when suckster gets through with em.
I’d rather use winamp than that garbage.

  37. I just used the money I saved on tech support 🙂

I like winamp too. I’m sad it doesn’t come in apple. 🙁

  38. So is your kid mentally handicapped or what, OB? If not then your kid is just an annoying brat and needs a muzzle.

  39. I am loving the “Other lady” in this situation, the one asking if the kid is handicapped. Woman control your damn kid FFS, let them make all the whoop whoop noises he wants AT HOME – but in a public setting to sit there and ignore this RACKET for 10 fucking minutes while strangers gotta sit and listen…nah that ain’t cool. No matter how cool a mommy you think you are, these crotch critters need DISCIPLINE more than anything else. This little shit needs a couple good cracks with a well chosen switch. Shit, it worked for me – look how well I turned out! Plus that’s how I learned to dance the switch dance.

  40. ——-
I have an apple. I don’t *need* tech support.
    ——-

Which is why Apple charges 35 bucks per incident for support.
I doubt they’re making the billions selling support to Windows users!

  41. Considering I have a 4th gen macbook circa 2008 that still runs perfectly, I’d say your stupid article does not pertain to me in any way.

I’ve updated the OS (free); updated the ram (2gig to 4gig — 70 bucks) and I need a new battery (125 bucks), I’d say the $1400 my parents shelled out in 2008 has been quite economical. Given the fact that all other laptops i”ve had have bitched out in 2-ish years.

I’m going to get at least another 2-3 years out of it.

6-7 years for a laptop is pretty awesome.

    🙂

Why can’t you just accept the fact that some people MAY be happy with something you don’t prefer, Mr Grumpy Pants?

  42. And I have a non-Mac laptop that’s been running perfectly since 2007.

  43. what in the sweet fuck do you need 4 gigs of ram for?
no wonder it still ‘works great’… you (over-pricingly) dished out more money ON TOP of the inflated proprietary price for this thing! jeebus.
I wonder what those specs were on the computers that ‘bitched out’…

and what do you mean by ‘bitched out’ ?
unless you mean hardware failure (popped mobo capacitors, hdd burnt, chip fried, solder cracking), it should be perfectly re-installable and fixable…
and a piece of cake since you take proper backup and data loss preventative measures, right?

the computer doesn’t get ‘too slow to use’ on its own…
it’s the idiot user that bloats the harddrive with applications that have backend procs pummling your cpu… or just running a shit ton of applications that launch on startup by default and never even get used… getting bottlenecked in the scheduling system… I mean the bus can only handle SO MUCH throughput.
or they install things the specs can’t handle… either alone or in parallel with other cpu intensive applications..

    I’d say it’s an iD10T error.
    error between chair and keyboard.

  44. Well SOMEONE has their panties in a twist today.

I *do* know how to take care of a computer properly, and I have automatic back ups of the contents of my hard drive onto my external HD nightly, and I have a record of the important stuff on my drop box.

The extra ram was 70 bucks. I haven’t installed it yet. I liked the idea of freshening my computer up a bit. Biiiig deal. Some people buy liquor, and some people buy computer ram *shrug*

And by ‘bitched out’ I mean a) the pieces of shit Acadia kept giving me. I got a lemon both times we were issued new models. Various re templating did shit fuck all to fix them and I constantly had issues (though tech support may have done more harm than good in that case) and b) the motherboard and electrical socket stopped functioning on my laptop before my macbook. I had it for 18 months when this happened and decided it was a great opportunity to move onto the apple platform, especially since I was graduating university and my parents offered to buy me a new computer as a grad gift for finishing two degrees. And as much as YOU might hate it, I like it, and you know what? THAT’S PERFECTLY OK… because you are not the authority on what type of computer one can and cannot like and I’m the one using the computer, not you.

Also: you’re so cute when you’re being a complete and utter dick 😉

  45. “because you are not the authority on what type of computer one can and cannot like “

Yes he is. I used to use Macbooks until zZz told me not to and sent me a semi-related picture to back up what he was saying.

If you find him cute when he’s being a dick then why don’t I get that type of love when I’m dick? You people are so fickle.

  46. shit, I forgot the associating pic.
    thanks zilla

    http://www.macobserver.com/imgs/teaser_ima…

my acadia thinkpad lasted 7 yrs whence last I saw it… (divorce casualty) with only a single hdd failure… they’re beasts.
I suspect tech support were both laughing at and adding to your mistrials.

you enjoy your shitty apple experience… go right ahead… fanboy.
I refuse to succumb to the Cult of mac.
    I’m done ranting… for now.

  47. You KNOW how I feel about you, zilla, but you keep rebuffing my advances. You got me all excited about shake and bake and butter and wild hot lizard sex, then you tore it away like a carrot dangling in front of my face.

The hurt was just too much to handle, ok?

  48. zZz…During your divorce did you hold up semi-related pictures as rebuttals to whatever your ex was saying? If so you are an IRL troll god.

I assumed the interest was gone PK so I moved on. All those “fuck you”s really hurt me.

  49. L O FUCKIN L, to the ten dislike people, lol u really have not a clue do u from my comment, it was mean to be known as not me saying “i said”, i said is like everybody in the world who has said something in bad manner or taste, and later in the day, they r thinkin to themselves wow did i really just said what i said to that said person, and for those u can share “where art thou”, via twitter or using the FB share button on ur laptop’s toolbar, would be much appreciated and once the #’s r very high i encourage u all to jion my for drinks at a Dt location, i’ll buy ur first two drinks, then the rest of ur drinkin is up to u, just need to bring evidence of ur sharing to prove legitamency, either at said time, or via FB, email, or me twitter accounts, i really wish u all are doing well in life and these message boards can get nasty, so i bid u all a happy joyous life, JR-fB

  50. Mother of god….that is by far the most idiotic comment that I have ever read on this website. Are you going out of your way to be a moron? Jesus christ. If you are trolling then you are terrible at it. You won’t make anyone mad, you’ll just have a whole bunch of people assuming you are mentally handicapped.

  51. That’s the problem today. People are so worried about shattering their child’s precious feelings, that they fail to teach them proper ettiquette and manners. Damn, this society has gotten soft…a big orb littered with sensitive punkasses.
