There are few valid bitches that are posted, and you’ll note they generally get positive, supportive responses. mostly whitetails ivan, you aren’t allowed to shoot moose on the mainland, they are on endangered list. but there are a few mule deer around too, mostly in stewiacke now tho.

actually, there were alberta plains bison imported to c.b. a number of years back.after a strom, most managed to escape, and were never caught again.
you hear stories from moose hunters of seeing them from time t time. mostly in the highlands area tho.
no, ivan, the mules were here for a hell of a long time. i remember nailing a 250 pound buck in the mid 70’s. just off the brookfield road. and a few have been knocked on the cove road, and over in whitenburg too.not as many as there used t be. maybe only about 200 left i gues, from what i hear.
mainland moose are not hunted due to small populations of them, they don’t match ell with their bigger cousins in c.b., finally, there used to be caribou and get this one, reindeer imported to the province , i think in the 60’s or about then. this would be about the same time the northern wolf started to appear in amherst area. and as to coyotes, there are no n.s. coyotes alive today. they are a hybrid of a small wolf and an eastern coyote that for some stupid reason, was brought here to us. the same as the cougars or mountain lion, pumas or whatever you want to call them. these are thought to be from northern maine, by way of ontario. they really aren’t sure how they managed to get here tho.i saw one years back, and nat. resources are finally admitting to them, in this year’s hunting handbook.
