Give it a rest, they want you to get mad and succeededededed I see. Throughout my years, I’ve had numerous people yell sexual things to me, mostly when they are driving by in their cars. Don’t take it personal; they’re losers who only wish they could have sex with someone like you or I ;D.

if men are threatening to violently rape me while i walk by myself down the street at night you bet the police will do something about it. it’s not okay and it shouldn’t be ignored. it’s my street too and i deserve to feel safe.

This is one of the reasons I hate women. They’re way too sensitive and take things way too far. Just because we have vaginas, doesn’t mean the world should cater to us. If a woman yelled something like “Nice ass!” to a man, it would not be such a big deal, and they’d giggle to all thier girlfriends. Way to have double standards.

really, Melectric? you hate women? consider then that the problem lies with you and not the lady who wrote this bitch, who was minding her own business when a couple of assholes laid into her on the street with their ignorant comments and in essence robbed her of her sense of security and safety. It’s demeaning and degrading and scary to any female, walking alone and if I was scared enough you’re damn straight I’d call the cops – and they do come. Is there no woman that you don’t hate that you could try to identify with or do you hate us all? Au contraire, you seem to relate well to the insensitive pig and I don’t like that about you.

I don’t know, random people I don’t know yelling things at me doesn’t really bother me. Being younger, this seems to be the norm. People yell stupid things to each other and adults take it seriously. When I was even younger and would walk around all the time with friends, every single time, people would yell things or even throw things out windows. At the time, I thought it was funny and still would today because it’s childish. If the OP was in some dark alley or something then yeah, it would be scary, but the fact that she didn’t call the cops right then and there, and the fact that she wrote another bitch about how a witness didn’t speak up, leads me to believe that there were other people around and this wasn’t some sketchy side street. If this happened to me, I would not just quietly walk away and write about it on the internet. Believe me, I have had my own encounters much worse than the OP and there is no way I would get all riled up over some idiots making comments. I’ve had a guy friend who was being followed and some guy tried to assault him; it’s not just lone females that should feel scared and degraded. But I guess if a guy does it to a guy it’s not degrading?

Seriously you’re going to call 911 (emergency dispatch) because someone probably yelled “nice tits” or whatever to you? You DO realize there are only so many 911 operators and using those resources for your dumbassery while possibly blocking someone who’s calling because they need an ambulance for someone having a heart attack, or someone calling because someone broke into their house and is trying to rape them or because someone’s house is burning down is shameful.

I checked with the police. charges are possible in this particular situation so that question is solved. Good to know your rights.

It’s not the fact that they yelled at the woman, paintbaby, it’s the fact that she feels entitled to use the services of 911 for said incident. THAT kind of killed any sympathy I might’ve had for OP right there. As someone who HAS had to use the services of 911 for an ACTUAL life or death situation…I do take some offense to OP’s sense of entitlement to use said services for the stupidest shit imaginable when compared to situations where people could, you know, DIE.
BTW human (you’re the OP, aren’t you?): I have three university degrees (surprised I can count that high, aren’t you?), and what I’ve learned through academic study (that you have obviously missed) is that the world isn’t all sunshine and roses like you claim and that questioning the way things are is a good thing. Your post makes me really believe you went to MSVU and studied women’s studies and took it a bit too fucking seriously. MSVU does not encourage “independent thinking,” and it’s the feminist drivel you’re spouting that makes people yawn and laugh at today’s “feminist” movement (I put “feminist” in quotations, because I’m really certain Gloria Steinem would cringe at the garbage you people spout off these days).
