Manager, I showed up for my interview early at the place you designated me to go to. I came prepared and I waited there by myself for you about 50 minutes before I left. You had sent me to the coffee shop, which did not have internet that day. You decided to move the interview, via email, the day of, which I couldn’t check when you didn’t show because you had sent me to a place with no internet. I tried calling you from the coffee shop three times to see where you were. I emailed you afterwards explaining that I had waited for you and I had just gotten your email. You explained that you had moved the interview because the coffee shop didn’t have internet…and decided to communicate this last minute via email. Brilliant idea btw. You apologized and offered to reschedule, I said yes I would love to. I never heard from you and I asked if you were actually interested in rescheduling, and you complained after not emailing me back that you were really busy, but the following week we could set up an interview. I of course never heard from you again. Honestly, the job hunt is hard and stressful enough in Halifax without being jerked around by a potential employer who doesn’t think anybody else’s time is worth a damn. Thanks for your overall lack of common sense and manners.
PS my new boss is awesome ! 🙂 —Not everybody can afford a smart phone

  1. I did a hitch in the KISS army back in the ’70’s *voice breaking* I saw some shit, man.
And some stuff. *turns quickly away to wipe eyes with sleeve of faded old fatigue jacket adorned with suspiciously new looking unit badges and medal ribbons*

  2. This is why I’m super-happy that Sprint is coming to Canada. Unlimited mobile data, bitches. You’ll never get caught with your pants down again. Figuratively or literally.

  3. That’s if you can afford it in the first place, scissors.

Now, I understand there are numerous welfare bitches out there on buses with a pack of kids from a pack of different baby daddies that have smartphones, but there are a lot of responsible folks out there who don’t have phones they can’t afford.

This sucks, OB. If the dude interviewing you doesn’t have enough of his/her shit together to call you and let you know of the venue change well enough in advance or honour his commitment to that locale if it was really last minute, you don’t want to work for them, anyway.
