Just new to riding a bicycle in Halifax, but using my common sense I realize since technically I’m classified as a vehicle while riding a bike, I decided that I’d ride on the street like I’m supposed to. I was riding at quite a pace up Inglis Street this morning, when I approached a white SUV who was hauling up to and then stopped at a stop sign at an intersecting street. I had the right of way (since I’m going straight up Inglis) and this idiot has a stop sign, as he’s about to turn right. So he stops and waits, and waits, for me to approach (he had a good 15 seconds or so to make his right turn had he chosen to do so). But NOPE, let’s wait til the VERY last minute to haul out instead, that’s way more interesting.
Rule #1: If you’re going to cut someone off, at least have the courtesy to make that a split second decision and do it right away. Don’t FUCKING WAIT until the other “vehicle” is like 10 feet away to haul out in front of them and cut them off.
Rule #2: Perhaps since you were obviously NOT from this country you didn’t understand that bicycles STILL count, and you can’t just fucking run me over (which you almost did) and looking back, I really shouldn’t have put on the brakes to avoid smashing into what I assume was your PARENTS’ fancy white SUV. If I were smart I would have smashed into you and sued the living hell out of you.
Rule #3: When someone flashes you the middle finger and yells obscene things at you, you don’t smile with a wave as a sort of “thank you” gesture. I did not LET you into traffic, you cut me off. —Almost Flattened By an Idiot

Love ya bunches 😉
OP, how is possible that he has a stop sign, yet you have right of way without stopping?
SUV? Say no more.
Lol, “breaks” are for slowing you down.
I like to slow down on my breaks… maybe grab a coffee and take the time to get away from my desk and catch up on office gossip.
Another self-righteous cyclist who thinks the road belongs to him/her.
OB, go fuck yourself.
