Who gives a flyin fuck about Lindsay Lohan? Who cares who Taylor Swift is dating? Who cares about Rhianna and Chris Brown? Who cares what Justin Bieber had for supper last night? Like WTF. Get a real fucking job. You all sound like a bunch of losers on those radio stations acting like you know these celebs personally. Get a life seriously. The other day I hit two radio stations and they were both playing the same song. OMFG, what a joke. Try CKDU while your checking the other “two” stations. They play music from all walks of life, check out the schedule and something may appeal to you.

Live 105 isn’t terrible. Of course it depends on what music you’re into but I like it. I’ve discovered a couple of bands that I wouldn’t have without that station.

AMEN O.B. I am with you 100%. I remember in the early 80’s in southern Ontario, you could get this Yank station ….I can’t remember their call sign (so I’ll make one up.)
But every couple of hours you’d here NROK* Buffalo “ALL ROCK , NO TALK” & except for the occasional news/weather report in the morning & around supper time, it was music all the time.
It sure would be nice if some of the radio stations around here came to the realization , not only do they not need 2, 3 or more people on their “morning shows” …they don’t need anyone !

I agree 100% that’s why I have an iPod and I’ll probably get the satellite radio hooked back up at some point. I was thinking about going as far as having the radio antenna removed because I’m not crazy about the look of it and I never use it, but it’s good for emergencies and traffic updates.

Try living in Timmins, Ontario and than tell me how bad the radio is here. In Northern Ontario all the stations (sorry, I mean station) play def leppard, ACDC, White Snake, Etc.
I usually just tune into CBC radio, they don’t play much music but when they do it is usually something you wouldn’t have heard before.
It’s bad enough that Bobby Mac (and others) think he’s funny.

CKDU doesn’t do it for me either. It’s a specialty interest and terribly inconsistent radio station. CBC and mixed CDs are the ways to go.

I like Lite. But on Sirius it’s all about the ’70s/’80s/’90s channels.
Every radio station here and everywhere else is overiscripted, canned bull shit that annoys the fuck out of me.
The only thing close to tolerable radio I have experienced is the Dean Blundell Show on the Edge in Toronto – and even they are faced with bullshit complainers that file with the CRTC everytime they say something that you hear a dozen times a day in public from overhearing random conversations…
