“Slapshot! Shoot! Score! You just can’t stop the Moose!”

Time for a slogan change Mooseheads. You’re at the bottom of the division and your season is down the tubes. Guess it should be “Slapshot! Shoot! Doh!.”

  1. You can piss and moan all you like, but your pissing and moaning doesn’t beat the silent Upset Fans at the TML games.

  2. Reminds me of the Bearenstein Bears book where Brother Bear gets a gf and she switches hockey teams because the other team scores on BB’s team. As soon as BB’s team tied the game up and went ahead, the lousy cunt was back on BB’s team’s wagon.

She even destroyed the team penant/flag and had the gall to wave the opposite team’s penant instead! Talk about a hoochie.

  3. All the fans jumping off the bandwagon will be jumping back on in a couple years when the rebuilding phase is over and the team is good again. Such is life when it comes to junior hockey.

Meanwhile, the Leafs will never be good again. If you like them too buddy, you’re fucked. Go Habs Go!

  4. i almost stabbed my eyes out at saturday’s game…. i want that 2.5ish hours of my life back or however long it was cuz i sure as hell wasn’t paying attention

  5. Haha I can’t believe they still use that! They definitely need a change. I still remember the whole song from when I was a kid.

“Battle on the boards and the puck comes loose,
Defense falls back but it’s just no use!

Charging up the wing, turning on the juice…

SLAP SHOT, SHOOT, SCORE! Ya just can’t stop the Moose!

Ohhh ya just can’t stop ’em!

    MOOSE HEADS!”

I wonder what that song writer is doing now…

And don’t forget the all so common “now give it up, for your Halifax Mooooooooooooosssseeee Heeeeeaaaaddds! (Ya’ll ready for this?)”

Originality is obviously not the Moosehead’s marketing manager’s strong points. Now the Halifax Rainmen and those Weather Girls, that’s a completely different story.

  6. Haha I love how people will bitch about anything.
Imagine if they DID change the slogan after all these years. All of the “what was wrong with the old slogan, we’ve used it for years, I remember it from back when I was a kid, why fix what ain’t broken. . . etc etc etc” commenters would come out in full swing.

  7. No one takes the fort was the Citadels lol I remember those days!

As for the Mooseheads, they’ve had a couple of years to rebuild. This season looks like a write off so i’m hoping next year they’ll have a good product.
