To the ass I saw on Robie Street throwing garbage from her car: Really??? EVERYONE knows that littering is disrespectful and thoughless. Didn’t you learn that in elementary school like the rest of us? If you add up all the people in the world who think their individual actions don’t matter then it’s easy to see why our environment is in the state it’s in. I can only imagine what your house looks like.

Driving out of Truro on the 102, a car in front of me whiffed out a full Tim Horton’s coffee onto the road. They had just left the coffee shop at Mill brook. Must not have been the right mix for them. Couldn’t believe it! Wanted to ram their bumper.
Even on backroads in the middle-of-freakin’-nowhere there is an abundance of ejected trash. The majority from a certain coffee outlet. Some people have no respect!!!

Litter is much worse of a problem in a lot of other cities – Halifax is actually quite clean by comparison. At least we don’t have to worry about stepping or sitting on used syringes like you do in Vancouver! I’d rather see discarded Timmy’s cups than bloody heroin needles.
That’s why I have one of those evil plastic Sobey’s bags in my car.
Halifax is one of the cleanest cities I’ve seen, but yeah, litter is a drag and I’ve got no love for people who would just toss a bunch of it out their car window. Then again, if you think about it, the streets and buildings and signs and cars are kind of just like well constructed, practical pieces of litter, right?

people love to bitch but very few do anything about it. got a cell phone? snap a picture of her plate and the trash. don’t be afraid to walk right up to the car and do it either. If the person goes insane, just dial 911. you can email the photos directly to the police with a citizens complaint.
I hate car litter too, especially Tim’s cups since Tims asks people not to litter their trash. That said OP, you might want to stay out of North Preston. Seriously, some parts of it look like a landfill, and much of the trash has collected in people’s ditches where it has remained for years.
Litter sucks.
Go for the embarassment factor, with the tiniest hint of raod rage. Just lay on the horn and tail gate for a while. Yell some stuff about litter, and hope that shes not the one snapping cell pics and calling 911.
Mind you, hopefully a healthy dose of shame would deter her.
Littering is annoying and thoughtless, I agree.
To toss a bit of gasoline on the fire (so to speak), I’d even go so far to say, that, as a non cigarette smoker, I don’t care about the second-hand smoke, or judge anyone for the act of smoking whatever they want to smoke, but the fact that MOST outdoor smokers just toss their cigarette butts on the ground DOES make me exasperated and judge them as careless and ignorant LITTERBUGS.
