I’m so ready to get back to your poop stinking Commons and rain covered May. Who says that April showers bring May flowers? Because not on the East coast. Seriously though, I love you for it and how it makes me appreciate those hot August days on the ocean and cliffs. I want to walk down Quinpool road and see twenty people I know or have a picnic in Point Pleasant and not be scared away by big black squirrels, unlike another city that I live in… Walk down to the water in an easy 10 minutes and smell a mix of ocean and sewage, rather than a polluted giant lake. I’d like to walk around and see students having parties on their stoops, rather than business men walking by in suits. This big city has grown to be a part of me, but it will never beat my old home town. Halifax, please bring these things when I come back again! Love you. —Your Partially Southern Ontarian Gal

personally i’d rather the giant smelly lake, but thats just me lol. Halifax was nice while it lasted… Don’t think i would ever trade my hot summer days in Barrie for Rainy Halifax days…
been through barrie many times, heading for the cottage. wicked cool storms, except for 1984
I’d trade the hot barrie days… in a heartbeat.
I was there a summer ago and the pool felt warmer than the air.
Do you know how bad it is when you can’t even get relief from the heat and humidity by swimming in a backyard pool? Brutal
Do us all a favor and stay there
You’re taking Barrie over Halifax???? Lord knows, Hali has it’s flaws and all but…….Barrie?? …..Srsly??? Couldn’t you just at least lie and say Angus or Wasaga Beach?
Barrie???
