There are signs all over the gym that say, “please return weights to the rack”. Why is it so hard to do that? I realize it takes an extra thirty seconds or so to remove those plated from the Smith machine and put them away, but it’s not just housekeeping. I’m a small woman. I am barely five feet tall, and I weigh under a hundred pounds. I’m in pretty good shape, but those 50 pound plates you muscleheads leave on the bar are more than half my weight. I cannot lift them safely. And if you think I enjoy coming over to you and asking you to remove them for me, so you can swagger over and pump your biceps for my benefit, you need to pull your head out of your ass. I just want to get on with my workout. Please just put the weights away when you’re done with them.
