Yep! I used to see this almost everyday when I worked in retail in a shitty area.

It’s the people that could actually legitly use the help that never get it.

lets put the neighbour back in ‘hood. it takes a village to raise a child. volunteer with big brothers/ sisters. you could be the positive role model that changes this childs life. we all know its not the kids fault right?? as far as the mother goes, well theres no test to be a mother. all you gotta do is lay on your back a few mins for some dude and you get a gov’t check every month for 18 years.
the recently cancelled pilot project in mentoring high risk youth proved that a positive role model and resource could turn the direction of these children’s lives. if there is no help from us (the village) these children will only know the lifestyle their mother is exposing them to.
