If you are not capable of using the self check out at the grocery store, please don’t use it. If you have a cart full of groceries, don’t use the self check out. I assure you, waiting in line for the cashier will ultimately be faster for you, and bonus, everyone else will get out of the store quicker too. I really don’t think this is an unreasonable request. —Not a lover of lines

The cashiers are much faster when you have a lot of stuff. I personally get confused with produce that has no barcode. So when i have produce, I go to a cashier. I’m gonna have to agree with OP.
Totally legitimate bitch.
I agree, people that go to the self-checkouts with a full cart of groceries are terrible. So are the people that bring a ton of groceries to the 10 items or less lane. 12-15 items, fine but anything more than that is a dick move.
How can you possibly have 10 items and less than that amount at the same time?
Some items may exist in an alternate space/time
I agree completely in principle, except that EVERY time I use the self checkout something goes wrong. They can’t recognize the bag I’ve brought, the thing doesn’t scan, the machine won’t take my money etc. etc. I am fairly technologically competent and I never use the self checkout for more than a few items and still I’m sure I hold up the line ups because it never seems to work!!!
To the people who use self-checkout with tons of groceries ; just know that everyone in line is watching you and they’re hating you.
How about everyone use the cashier checkout and keep humans working.
RAOUL, fortunately or unfortunately, you can’t fight change. Machines will definitely be taking over more and more jobs. Do you use ABM’s? A lot more convenient than waiting in line at the bank. Do you think not?
Most legitimate bitch I’ve seen in a long time. Especially the part about “if you don’t know how to use it”. Nothin’ pisses me more than people standing there, scanning an item, placing it in the bag like it’s a Ming vase or something. Reaching into the cart, sorting through the items, as if they’re scanning them alphabetically. I know you don’t want to put your 2 litres of milk on top of your tomatoes…that’s why they give you 3 spots to set up bags. Take 2 seconds, open a bag on each rack and sort as you go. And, if you can’t find the number, look up the item. They have pictures. Surely you can see the difference between an onion and a watermelon, no?
