To the many people who stop by our overly convenient curbside compost bins on Northwood Terrace: no more dog shit in bags, no more Tim’s cups with plastic lids, no more random grocery bags full of garbage and especially NO MORE OF THOSE GODDAM WHITE PLASTIC BUCKETS WITH THE REMNANTS OF SOME UNKNOWN FORM OF RESTAURANT GREASE! My window looks over the bins, and I have yet to catch anyone in the act, but I do keep objects by that window, just in case….. Ooops, dropped a brick! Really sorry! Really!

Try moving the bin or putting a real garbage can beside it. People are lazy, and the city probably won’t help. You might just have to take one in the face for the environmental team. OOh…or you could put a lock on the lid….but then they’d probably just toss their trash on the ground. Maybe the brick is the best idea afterall.
