You were all talk about going out west and making better money. All blaming Nova Scotia for your lack of employment and love life. Even making fun of us as you were leaving, saying we were suckers for staying here with high taxes and low pay and losers to date. Now 11 months later, I find out you are STILL single and now working retail for $18/hour, a laughable wage in Alberta! I make more than that at my “lowly” (as you called it) job here in Halifax. Now will you realize Scotia was not to blame for your “misfortunes,” but rather the fact YOU just suck at life is the culprit?! LOL. – Laughing at This Douche

One doesn’t need to go to Alberta when you can get any shade of green for your smoking pleasure.
Sort of a petty bitch. It’s not as easy to relocate even to Alberta. But the thing is, even if they are making $18/hour in retail right now, they are still surrounded by opportunity. Very few people here in Nova Scotia are what one would consider as being ‘surrounded’ by opportunity.
THE DOUCHE
“Now will you realize Scotia was not to blame for your ‘misfortunes’, but rather the fact YOU just suck at life is the culprit?! LOL.” Laughing at the Douche
What a douche.
New Avatar Alert! Ornella! Ornella!
A pleasure as always.
Cheerio!
Why would you even care what someone else has done? If someone moves, gets a new job, a new other or whatever, why would you even care? It’s their life, not yours.
And this ‘douche’ will be having the last laugh when you get laid off from your $18.25/hour job (you’re probably only making 25 cents more an hour, right? And yet you have the nerve to laugh at this guy for it lol) and he is working in the head office of this retail outlet making 100,000K a year.
We need teleporters.
I would totally work out in alberta but it’d be a huge pain in the ass to physically move all my shit there and find a place.
Their unrented properties/availabilities are at an all-time low.
Teleporters to Alberta, huh.
And whay happens when an elk is in the transporter booth at the same time as you?
“It came from the Rockies with antlers on it’s head and death in it’s heart!”
“zZzELKMAN!”
Sweetheart, get me David Cronenberg. I got a script he’s gonna love.
Definitely a possibility.
That’s how we got jackalopes, isn’t it?

You don’t make more than your friend. You live in Nova Scotia and pay more sales taxes, more for gas, liquor, milk, eggs, cheese, meat, and lots of other things.
So fucking true Sodeypop. I graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce in 2009 and couldn’t earn anymore than a few bucks above min wage in NS. I moved out to Calgary in 2010 after attempting to hack it in the maritimes for a year. Now I enjoy raking in 6 figures. Gawd imagine if I stayed in NS just cause my family said I should…might have been making maybe $18.25 an hour by now?? Lol suck it poster!
$18/hr after 11 months isn’t bad. Its noteworthy that this is generally a starting wage for non-skilled labour in Alberta. I do know of labourers making $45/hr, so there is lots of upside out west.
