Here is a big fuck you to the three big banks that have decided for themselves that they no longer want money and business from legal businesses. I didn’t realize that there was such a moral distinction when it comes to banking and lending practices. After hearing what those people in Sackville are going through, having their business loans called in and having their mortgage and personal accounts cancelled (well, given a whole 30 days to get their accounts cleaned). Absolutely unacceptable, and I for one will be moving my savings, mortgage, loans, CCs, etc… from your shitty bank, and I hope that anyone who will partake in legalized marijuana next year will let the banks know, by way of a massive boycott, that this kind of practice is not cool. With the billions of dollars that are to be made with a burgeoning marijuana industry in this country, I hope someone starts up a Marijuana Bank of Canada, and I’ll be your fist pothead customer!! Get fucked “Big Money”, YOU are the one who is not welcome here. Let’s show them the door!! —Poprah

Fuck the banks.
Join a Credit Union. That’s what I did, and I have been debt free for my life so far.
Doesn’t seem to matter to those stupid bank knobs that alcohol is a proven killer – if you want to start a brewery, the cocksuckers can’t back their tractor trailer load full of money up to your door fast enough. But pot? You might as well ask for financing to deflate all the rocks on Peggy’s Cove.
I hope those greedy corporate fuckers are totally shut out of any weed-based business when legalization is finally implemented.
I’ve actually already been seriously considering moving my money over to a Credit Union since I learned the liberals slipped a bail-in option for big banks into one of their recent bills. Strike Two in my books for this government now.

It’s just a risk/reward thing for them. Right now, pot is a risky business to invest in. They’ll change their tune once the laws get put in place. Supposed to be in the spring maybe?
Big Pharma and Big Money scratching each others backs should be no surprise to anyone.
Dont like the bank? Wait til your dealer is some mega corporation. Look how shitty Liquour stores are here with hours,selection and location. Do people seriously think the government on any level is going to let just anyone own and operate a dispensary? There are going to be a lot of sorry pot heads next spring. This whole “legalization” thing is not going to unfold the way people assume it will.
@Ho!st
You should bring your money over to a Credit Union. Very nice people who work there and they are very trustworthy with money.
I didn’t know that marijuana would have such a stranglehold on your life that you would radically change the way that you handle your finances. you have my pity.
Wait a couple of years and you will be able to gets joints from an instant teller.
The banks can’t have any upstarts getting a foothold on future business opportunities…
Flowey_The_Flower: “Credit Union… are very trustworthy with money”.
Do a Jed Clampett and ask to see your money.
Bet they can’t show it to you…
