Trying to buy a couch and getting so sick of people wasting my time posting these nasty dilapitated sofas on kijiji for hundreds of dollars! Outdated, saggy rust coloured crap or floral printed crap purchased over 20 years ago, torn to shit by your cats and children. You have the audacity to ask for two hundred, five hundred and upwards for these pieces of pure garbage? What kind of crack are you smoking to think anyone will pay that? I wouldn’t take that off your hands for a fucking dime. I’ve seen better couches placed under the FREE section. You people and your “Antique Settees” listed for thousands also need to WTFU – these ugly uncomfortable hunks of junk are a dime a dozen at the flea markets around here. And quit posting your shit under free stuff if you don’t plan to give it away. So many times, I open these ads and there are conditions attached (i.e. free keyboard with purchase of a computer). You are an asshole. —The 70’s Called, They Want Their Furniture Back

While you were browsing the FREE section perhaps you should have contacted the person with the so badly needed couch.
It is KIJIJI, geezuz one would think you were browsing something worthwhile ….. it is a place for people to cast off stuff they no longer need ….. rather than place it on the side of the road they advertise it online!
Similar to the trash advertising for friendship on kijiji when it is just a hook-up for fat people and small cocks.
You’d be far better off going to V. Village, Sally Ann or Wyse Buys in Dartmouth. Then you wouldn’t have to deal with idiot addicts who would sell their kids in a heartbeat for a hit.
Kijiji is a crapshoot – a friend of mine answered an ad for a free kitty about six months ago. The poor kitty was half-starved, trembling and shat on just about everything in my buddy’s apartment – the welfare trash who gave her this 3 year old cat lied through the teeth about the poor little mite’s health – fortunately, there is a happy ending to this story. My friend, with tender loving care, nursed this sweet little cat back to health and she finally uses the litter box. Win-win for both kitty and kitty’s adopted mum.
These days, you take your chances when you get couches and love seats from Kijiji. Roaches and bed bugs can infest these items. Your ‘sweet deal’ could end up becoming a screaming nightmare when you discover you have an infestation of vermin to combat a few weeks later.
Great advice TTFN although I wouldn’t buy anything at Wyse Buys if someone put a gun to my head! Great story about the kitty, too!
Try posting a want ad on HRM Freecycle OP – http://groups.yahoo.com/group/hrm_freecycl…
Haven’t bought anything from Wyse Buys in 15 years – however, I did get a beauty of an oak dining room table for $100 which I still have. Has WB always had a bad rep? Just curious.
At least at value village they check it out for those bugs n shit…
I loved the couch I got there a while back.
Can’t go wrong for $40.
I didn’t say, nor did I mean to imply, that WB has a bad rep. I just don’t like them. I haven’t been in there in years. When we used to look for furniture, etc. we found that most of their items were shoddy and over-priced.
Like zZzed just implied, it’s better to go with VV.
Yeah, VV is probably the best bet, especially if they check for creepy-crawlies.
there are a dozen or more on kijiji. they don’t look too shabby.
A point to ponder; they don’t call them Flea Markets without good cause.
And the bedbug epidemic continues…
fire and plenty of it
can’t get bedbugs with this sucker…

it’s not quite apparent, but it’s an inflatable couch.
I can’t see them being too much since it’s really only a bit of molded (and hopefully reinforced) plastic.
I likely wouldn’t eat on it with any utensils… and it’s probably not recommended for cat lovers…
At least when you get crabs you’ll have someone to talk to.
i got my bed off that site. no complaints and no critters. try using it before you make false assumptions.
paingirl. Dr. Hibbert I’d assume? You stole my heart. Simpsons rule!
haha, you caught me

Speaking from experience Koda? hehe
Yeah OP people tend to overprice their crap. Lots of good suggestions here. Best of luck.
I love Kijiji. I’ve sold a lot of stuff on there and bought some stuff too. You just have to pick and choose. I’d buy beds if they came from a nice home. I’ve been pretty pleased with Kijiji. Although I do agree with the OP. Some people try to sell pure shit furniture for a mint when it really belongs in the garbage. You gotta pick and choose!

haha, that’s great
people’s sofas are like their cars or their kids. It’s easy to get attached once you’ve forged your ass-groove.
