When I get home from work, me and my girlfriend talk our dog and his buddy for a walk to citadel hill. I am SO sick and tired of seeing smashed glass all over the sidewalks! What is wrong with you people! Not only is harmful to us, but consider the poor animals that walk over it! Sometimes it just comes out of the blue and you cant avoid it.Its also quite the eye sore. If my dogs paw gets sliced open because of people who cant control themselves when they drink…WATCH OUT!!!

Yes I agree, the stupidity is mind boggling. I’ve had to get rid of a nice bike before because I got glass in the tire and it was cheaper to get a new bike than to replace the damn tire. I’ve even seen my upstairs neighbours smash glass in front of our house – and they ride bikes. With thin tires. WTF?
Idiots…hopefully they slash their feet and hands one day. I feel bad for the animals and bikes.
I’m so with you, OP! I was actually going to write a bottle-smashing bitch myself, although mine was to be more related to beach/park areas. People who smash glass in public areas make me so fucking angry! It’s so entirely senseless and endangers people and their kids, pets, bikes, etc, not to mention ruining the enjoyment of public spaces. It’s summertime, and I like to be barefoot in the sand and grass, goddamnit. I shouldn’t have to worry about slicing myself open because some cretinous asshole gets his jollies from smashing bottles.

I like smashing glass! Espically in beaches cause it makes beach glass and that makes me smile. I think you are dumb Toomie dumb as a little baby goat! Maybe you shoulden’t walk your dogs on our public streets so they can have big ol shitty dumps on the sidewalks then I step in it. I hope you get glass in your toe and it rips your toenail off and it gets infected and you bleed out of your sore toe and it hurts for a real long time…… love always Britneys dad

Anyway, I’m with the OP. I’m always walking my dog and kids around glass on the sidewalk. Its senseless. And I don’t let my kids walk around barefoot because of it. Dog booties are great if you can get your dog to wear them! There’s also a spray but I’m not sure if it would work for glass or if its just for salt in the winter.
Honestly though!!!I stayed in Halifax for a month with my dog. We were just running around on Citidel Hill, fooling around. I jumped on the ground and he jumped ontop of me and then I was covered in blood. All the fucking razor sharp hazards that lurk around the HRM is unreal. And fuck everyone who choses to throw the rest of their food on the ground instead of into the garbage. I do not feed my dog people food, and it sucks that I always have to keep an eye on the ground for foods that will more than likely make him sick as fuck.
