I cant take it no more!

Im writing this in response to the article about the “sqeegie kids”. Is it me or is everyone blind? Im a 37 year old man who grew up in the housing projects of Ontario. My Mother left my father when I was 3 and I grew up in a abusive, disfunctional lifestyle. I have been on my own since I was 15 years old and have had a job ( a real one) since then. This is my opinion, no, my “belief”. Drugs, abuse, disfunctional upbringing, have I missed anything? All Im hearing is excuses for these kids. I dont believe that there lazy or stoned. They may have had a troubled upbringing but…who friggin hasnt??? The one thing I do feel certain about is..they are “smart”! They make there own rules, hours, bilk the system for all its worth and we are suppose to feel “sorry” for them? Ha! I appluad the city of Halifax for what it has and will continue to do in order to get rid of what I consider and “eyesore” to this beautiful city. I hate to use this saying but its the only one that works…”Get a friggin job”! Everyone else has to.

Mike from Halifax.

  1. Personally, I love the ones who panhandle on the streets, and they’re sporting about $5000 in leather, piercings, and tattoos. Squeegee kids? I’m sorry, but I feel worse for the poor shmuck who has to work a 6 hour shift at Sobeys, then go to school the next day. These SK’s get verbally abused? Well guess what, so do the ones working in retail.

  2. These squeegee kid’s aren’t even kids. They are adults ! Fuck them, they shouldn’t make us feel sorry for them. They make more money than I do.
