in response to ‘shut up and dress up’, i totally agree. girls are so obsessed with being paris hilton or the girls from the hills, they forget that there is more to life than boys and shopping. SOME of us have more depth and that doesnt make us ugly. im so sick of having guys talk me up, acting like im the greatest thing they’ve ever seen-until a slutty girl is ready to put out. then they assume we’re gonna be around in 10 years when sluts get boring. guess what guys- enjoy your sluts, and sluts, enjoy your boys because we’re all going to be eliminated when STD’s overtake our city. one in FOUR girls has an STD now, isn’t it time to stop and consider that maybe we are flooding the market with sex?? if you weren’t all putting out all the time because you’re sooooooo “empowered” by your sexuality, then guys would have no choice but to work hard for it. most of my friends are guys, and trust me, no matter how “cool” and “different” they say you are, THEY DONT MEAN IT. Speaking as a girl who didn’t dress or act slutty, I had no problem getting or keeping a guy.And I am very empowered sexually.I refuse to act like some demure 50’s innocent to “change the way guys act”. Why? Guys aren’t going to change the way they behave,.
Smart girl, I think it’s more the intimidation than anything else. I noticed in halifax a lot of guys are just too lazy and don’t have much going for them. You, smart, sophisticated and have serious goals in life, come along and they shy away. God forbid you have a brain that you use! You’re not easy and you can make you’re own decision. Speaking from a guy’s point of view, I have no idea how anyone is even remotely interested in those Paris or the Hills type girls. Ditsy as hell, not remotely close to being responsible, can’t make her own decisions, guaranteed will never be able to ever get her life started and will always look for someone to take care of her. Being like Christina Aguelera isn’t impressive. They’re not empowered by their sexuality, guys will only go after them for so long, once they put out, that’s it. If they don’t put out, the guy moved on to another one, and the cycle continues. Smart girl, You need to stay away from those guys. Be patient and let it flow, believe me, the one you’re looking will come along. Guys will always look or glance, but it doesn’t mean they’re impressed. Sometimes i look because i’m disgusted!.
I couldn’t agree more. It is really nice to see someone (a woman) who realizes that poor choices area two way street; when things go wrong, it’s not entirely the man’s fault.A nice body is great, but without strength and intelligence, women (and men) ultimately get nowhere in relationships, and life in general.
So 25% of girls have an STD and the OP attributes it to all the slutty looking, Paris Hilton wannabes? That’s quite judgemental and sexist of you, don’t you think? Just because a girl presents herself a certain way doesn’t mean she has an STD or is a slut- you also place an awful lot of burden on women as causing the prevalence of STD’s among young people. Remember, it takes 2!If you were such a “smart girl” you’d realize that your obvious jealousy toward these types is why you keep loosing out with men. What guy wants to be with a girl who is that insecure? Do you really want to be with the type of guy who’d ditch such a “smart girl” for these types anyway? I like to think I am pretty smart and attractive, definitely not the type to bleach my hair and wear a mini with pumps and bare legs in -20, like I saw last night and I have never had a guy ditch me for a “slutty” looking girl. Maybe your problem isn’t these girls… maybe you’re just looking for love in all the wrong places!Start worrying about yourself rather that being a judgemental bitch about those you obviously feel inferior to.
