  1. You don’t want to know how frustrating it was to be one of the few people in High School who thought global warming by human influence was (or is) a load of bullshit. They had official Al Gore representatives come to our school to brainwash everyone into thinking the world will end unless we stop being so wasteful. They had these super lame presentations, in one instance a whole class sat in the lobby with blindfolds on their faces, because they wanted to represent how blind the population is to the global warming epidemic. What was worst, was the teacher of the class promoted it.What a bunch of fucking idiots. I’m all for ending pollution and saving the environment, but do it with the right intentions, and with actual facts. Don’t preach to me your global warming bullshit about how the world is going to end in the next century.

  2. So because they took one commercial off the air you think this “trend” has gone away? Like how the NSLC’s just two weeks ago became completely bagless? How the grocery stores are still phasing in this program? How every day more sustainable things are being introduced into society? Just because you don’t see it in your closed off little world (prediction: mother’s basement) doesn’t mean it’s “gone away”. Also, McDick’s still has salads. If anything, there are more health foods in stores and restaurants today than there ever have been.

  3. The trend hasn’t completely gone, and people really are more aware of the impact they’re having. Still, I’m thinking it all will die down eventually. We went through an environmental awareness trend back in the eighties, too and it fizzled out. Humans are lazy and self absorbed by nature, and being envrironmental takes effort. That laziness is what got the planet in the state it’s in to begin with, we’re not going to change it quickly. We lose interest and slip into the easy way of doing things very quickly.
