There is nothing in this world that pisses me off more than trying to move around hurdles of people to catch my bus in the morning. Every morning i get off on one bus at the dartmouth terminal, and get on another one that is waiting on the other end of the station. And every morning, without fail, there are crowds of people just STANDING IN THE FUCKING WAY. This is easy, people! Move your fucking asses to the side of the goddamn sidewalk unless you’re in motion. If you plan on standing around, please do so INSIDE OF A FUCKING SHELTER, OR OFF TO THE SIDE! It’s impossible for me to walk directly through you to get where i’m going, but if i have to lull behind your sluggish ass one more time, you’re going to be pushed in front of a fucking metro transit bus.

It is a bus stop… what do you expecT? people wait for buses… leave earlier in the day so you dont miss your bus idiot.
The one thing I miss about montreal was the ettiquette of bus riders at stops. Every lines up in straight line in the order they arrived. They wait for people those exiting by the front doors to actually get onto the curb then walk onto the buses. The manners of many transit users in Halifax are pathetic, the cattle rush and jumping the line to be first on the bus is not needed.
I hate when I’m walking to or from work (or anyone else, for that matter) and these groups of people take up the whole sidewalk, and refuse to move to let anyone pass… I’m not suggesting people walk single file, but c’mon!

Yup agreed Chris. Maybe this person was just like that before he got on his buss, waiting at the door! “leave earlier” I have suggested this Chris many times to people lol. If you CHOOSE to leave at whatever time you do then it COULD be your problem if you don’t make the busl When will people take ownership for their actions or reactions?
Leave earlier? You’re missing the point. The buses are TIMED so that they arrive before other connecting buses leave, so when you get off bus A, you have a few minutes to get on bus B going to where ever. If one bus is a bit late/leaving early, it’s a piss off to try and push thru crowds of eedgets standing in the way blocking the whole sidewalk. And even if you aren’t trying to make a connection, it’s still annoying to not have a path thru a double wide sidewalk.If other people where aware at all of the world outside of what they can see see down and out from the inside their asses life would be a lot frustrating at times. This has nothing at all to do with the poster leaving earlier, because the buses before that are probably timed the exact same way. RTFP before making comments.
I second that… Read the post before you put in your two cents….I know exactly what your saying Pete, It sucks that there is a double wide sidewalk, and groups of people just stand there, unmoving, and block you from WALKING to get to your bus…. And its not just limited to bus stops.. if I’m walking on the sidewalk, and there is a group of people (even just TWO people) walking towards me… there SHOULD be enough room for me to walk by, untouched… but nope.. Inconsiderate fucks just walk like they own the sidewalks… I either have to StOP to let them pass, or walk on the road, or grass…. there’s no need.. Its not like you have to walk single file the whole time… Just move to the side when others walk by… its common courtesy

I have to agree with Matt, here (at least in spirit, if not in tone).PB, or Ginger, or whoever she is, does seem to have a real problem reading, or perhaps comprehending, other people’s comments. And her own are usually so poorly written, and so utterly devoid of meaningful content, that they’re simply pointless. PB, or Ginger, apparently feels like she is being singled out for attacks…but the truth is she may be the only regular contributor to this forum whose contributions appear to be motivated entirely by a bizarre need for attention, or simply — and even more pathetically — by a need to hear herself talk. All of which would be not worth commenting on, except that a lot of her posts send the threads off on bizarre and silly tangents, and sometimes the threads never get back on track. Which is too bad, since most of the threads she hijacks could be interesting and rewarding topics of conversation, if she would only stay out of them.

I guess everybody has a different view on what “crowds of people” mean. However, if you have ever tried to catch a train or subway from Union Station at 5 pm on a weekday you would understand it makes the Sportsplex terminal seem like a walk in the country.
