To all the people that have nothing better to do but bitch about riding the bus on the bus, just buy a fucking car or shut up. Really what do you expect? It’s public transit, it’s not a first class trip to wonderland. It’s Halifax and honestly it’s not even that bad. Ya, it really sucks when you have weirdos coming up to you all the time but if it’s that hard for you to just ignore it then get off and walk. It’s just as bad to be sitting on the bus listening to you bitching about the idiot a few seats down. Also, some of the drivers are dicks sometimes, shut up about that too. They deal with the weirdos you deal with for 15 minutes but they get it all day long and can’t complain about it. After a while I’m sure we all look and sound the same to them. Sit back and enjoy the ride, have a laugh, put your head phones in, but please, just shut up with the negativity. —Here for a Good Time, Not a Long Time

I agree and disagree. Some of the shit you witness on the bus from passengers and driver’s is simply unacceptable, but, as anyone who’s actually called metro transit to report something knows, there’s sweet fuck all you can do about it. So either live with it or find another way to get around.
Get an ipod. Those things let you drown out pretty much anything on MT. I don’t do bus buddies for the simple fact that not being able to drown shit out on the bus is a truly frustrating experience.
Also: avoid certain routes (and certain times of day if you can) and you should be OK, overall.
Agree PK I plug in the music, read a book or the paper, and just enjoy the Magic Carpet Ride.

couldn’t agree MORE with dartmounty. Those drivers are paid more than university professors so they should be perfectly willing to put up with the shit and terror.
While i don’t disagree, metro transit isnt that bad compared to SOME public transit i’ve taken in the past that doesn’t mean that we proletariat chariot riders can’t blow off a little steam once in awhile. The bus sucks. And we pay a mint to use it. So, you know, put your headphones on but please shut up with the negativity.
