Sweet fancy Moses – would the passenger who is eating the bulb or so of garlic each morning and boards the 7:30 a.m. #14 to St. Mary’s, please have mercy!!! I jumped off the bus and waited for another one, late or not. Vile. —Not Anne Rice

  1. No, they apparently don’t, Molly. I was forced to take the 52 on Monday and I ended up sitting beside a lady who smelled like stale crackers and bread, garlic and body odour. Lovely lady, but my GOD wash your arse and apply some pit stick and throw your clothes in the washer every once and a while. ANd if your house stinks that badly that it seeps into your clothes, please open your damn windows and air the place out. There’s a lady that gets onto the 21 every morning that smells like cat piss. Either she’s shacking up with Grampy G, or she hordes cats and lets them piss on everything she owns. It’s disgusting and she wears this old wool coat that traps the smell. Usually there’s a ‘dead zone’ of empty space around her as people crowd into the back to get away from the stench.

  2. Apparently this woman does have a job, molly.

I worked with this guy whose white shirts were always transparent yellow-tinged and you could smell him coming down the hallway… I mean around the corner allllll the way on the other side of the floor. It was VILE.

I also went to school with a kid who would never bathe. I remember being in grade six and the classroom smelling like feces because he hadn’t bathed or changed his clothes in literally weeks. The teacher would have to open the window in sub zero weather so we could actually breathe without puking.
