Wouldn’t it be great if all renters could see the garbage on their lawns, steps, and curbs and pick it up? Let’s declare a “tenants take charge” day where everyone living in a rental unit on the peninsula is kept out of their apartment until they clean up the friggin’ garbage from the past 6 months. —Can’t believe your mother would let you ignore this

OP HRM by-law states that property owner must keep their grounds clean and clear of garbage etc. Make a complaint to HRM by-law
Yes, but just once it’d be nice of the people who put the garbage there owned up to it and cleaned it up, instead of saying its the owners problem.
If you watched the news last night, CBC, they showed that desirable, lustrous, much sought after area, jellybean square, it made Syria look wonderful.
Naturally, the residents are work shy and obviously too stressed to clean up their midden.
In my building I have watched WM come, remove garbage and have some fall out. They stayed in their truck and left it, even placing the bin on the garbage.
yeah, the truck in my area sometimes has stuff fly off/out. so when they drive off i go out and pick it up. gee.
Home owners are as guilty as renters. It all depends on the person. Both renters and owners can be either slobs, neatniks, or somewhere in between.
It’s everybody’s responsibility to not litter but what chaps my hide more than anything else is the young mf’s throwing out their McDicks and other assorted garbage into my ditch for me to have to pick up. At least they could leave a few fries in bag so I can feed my caw caws.
Bus drivers are partly to blame. The turbulence blows the garbage from the gutter into our yards. I have yet to see a driver stop to pick up the mess.
