Why is this phrase suddenly everywhere? It’s all over the fucking place. Everytime I turn around I hear it used in some inane context. CBC radio now has an entire segment devoted to this. WHY, GOD? —Just Got Over ‘Jumping the Shark’
This article appears in Nov 3-9, 2011.

If you are looking from an answer from “God” you’ve come to the wrong spot.
My bad.
i grow weary of the word facilitate
Just some people’s way of ‘moving forward’, (as the Mayor is wont to say every 2 minutes, esp. when constantly apologizing), by using a buzz word/phrase du jour to the nth degree. These words/phrases come in for a while, are beat to death for a period of time, in both speech and print then are replaced with another in due course. Meanwhile our ears, or eyes, are tortured from their repetition and often misuse. And this is not just happening ‘at this point in time’ – to use another oldie. Often it is done to fill space or air and sometimes to confuse issues.
Meh.

I dislike “utilize” PG.
I believe Gamechanger’s recent spike in popularity (I myself haven’t noticed it btw) is from that movie Get Him to the Greek.

Hilarious movie.
Jumping the Shark is from the show Good Times, apparently. I guess after Fonzie jumped over a shark the show was never the same, or as good. I always kind of liked that expression.
Anyways, OP, if this is all you can think to bitch about you’ve got it pretty good, imo.
The show was actually called Happy Days, Tommy.
That next concussion will surely give ol’ SID a game changer, right into a vegetable state.

Good Times?
*GOOD TIMES*?!?!?!!
The buzzwprd from Good Times was “Dy-No-Mite!!!”, later adopted by Al Quaida in Iraq.
Good Times…
How can
I ever take you serious after something like this?
Sigh

p.s. 🙂
lol my sincerest apologies for confusing two TV shows that I’ve never seen. I never even had a TV in my house growing up till I was 16, so even if those shows were still in syndication in the 90s I wouldn’t have seen them.
I do know who JJ and The Fonze are though.

And check the occupy bitch for a funny-Fonzie related post.
funny Fonzie-related*. What? Spell check? Fonzie-related is not a word? Pshh I don’t want to live in this world. Oh wait it just wanted to to capitalize the F.. lol
The latest phrase that’s pissing me off comes as a result of the financial shenanafucks involving the Greek situation – everyone is being asked TO TAKE A HAIRCUT.
GOOD TIMES!!!! hahaha, TJ your’e killing me! hahahah.
Good Times, Happy Days. They do sound interchangable.
