doesn’t it just make you sick of all the bullshit that is going on about him.sure,he might be a good player, but how many is on a TEAM again.and how many assisted him in his goal getting.yes,i know you think it’s sour grapes and all that crap, really it isn’t,just a looky see thing.do we here of all the guys in afghanistan getting parades when they get home, what, you say no.gee, how the fuck come not.don’t yell at me,or scream i hate hockey,or even mom’s apple pie.i just dislike all the bullshit that is going on.and who by the way,is footing this bill for the tank thing, the chopper, the parade, and the rest.don’t come knocking on my fucken door looking for cent to cover any part of it.

Get up on the wrong side of the bed again LS?
FYI: None of Crosby’s thousands of fans could care less about your opinion on his success. What have you accomplished in your first 22 years? Anything parade-worthy? Thought nought…only those with positive attitudes become achievers…even those employed and deployed by the DND.
PS Sidney probably excels in grammer and spelling too.
What are you going on about ?
Crosby who ???
Why are you getting worked up over nothing ?
Or did this guy’s parade drive right through the middle of your yard . The guy’s a hockey player & there are many fools who are only capable of enjoying life while watching someone else kick, hit, whack a ball (or puck ) around. When they get a chance to actually get close to them they all seem to get just that much stupider ! But so what ! They’re not hurting anyone ,so cut them some slack & go do something you enjoy, yesterday we went canoeing down the Shubie River it was (IMO) a great day, almost no people & certainly no parade 🙂
Life’s short dude, go out & enjoy it.
well fucken la de da,who gives a shit.it‘s my bitch, and if you look around, you will find i’m not the only one that thinks they is/was too much bullshit hype on him.is he a god,did he make a miracle happen, did he even walk on fucken water,no he didn’t,all he does is skate and hit a piece of hard fucken rubber around.any asshole with one brain cell can do that.spare me your golden boys bullshit fervour,he is no better than the next guy,or chicky.
first off, he gets a lot of publicity…he’s a local boy who made it big. Is his talent worth what he makes? not really in my opinion but we don’t get many success stories so they plant his face for days all over the place whenever anything happens to him. It;s like Obamania… I can’t go a fucking day without seeing his image Somewhere.
congrats Crosby. good for you. You’ve made it. You’re a star. Now leave, head back to a prosperous city with a decent sized venue, and say hi to Mario for me.
Yeah, but unless you have an NHL playoff win under your belt,i’m not going to believe just any asshole with one brain cell can do it.
Is this the same Life Sucks from the Chronicle Herald? If so, wow, and lol
maybe your ‘LIFE SUCKS’ period!!!another bitter middle aged male…
yorkke, no it isn’t,and i don’t know why people confuse the two of us. just maybe we could all be someone else for a day. not me,i’m quite happy the way i am. and am i a bitter old man, nope. just someone who has had his fill of bullshit photo ops. and by the way, i do read the c.h. too.but it a fucken rag compared to the coast.at least you can say what you want here, no censorship to speak of, great going guys, love it.
jealous much?
The hypes not only about Crosby but about the Stanley cup. Had I have gone like I planned (I have the flu) I was going to see the cup, not Crosby. I think that was the case for most peeps.
Oh yeah, he’s just another local kid who captained an NHL team to victory. What’s the big deal – there may be another in 100 years or so.
Give the Kid his due – he did well and his home town celebrated. I’m no hockey fan but can certainly appreciate the significance of his accomplishments.
Every player on the team gets to take the Cup back to their hometown for a visit and show. Its not limited to Crosby the captain. When Detroit won it in 2008, it made a trip to Newfoundland.
And the kid worked his ass off and earned that Cup with the Penguins and they deserve a little praise here and there from fans. I know several people who have met Sidney and they all comment on how down-to-Earth and humble he is in person.
Good for him and good for Cole Harbour. I hope that everyone that came out had a great time.
Life sucks, you’re posts piss me off. If you used the space bar after a period, then MAYBE I would read them.
Virgomom: I sure hope you feel better and recover quickly for the flu!
**From the flu
Sidney Crosby is a fucking babe. And my future husband.
It also helps that I’ve followed the Penguins for the past five years.
Darn, I feel so old now considering I was following the Penguins before their first cup win in 91 (or 92)!
Mario has one amazing team locked up until 2013; reminds me of the Oilers in 81-84
I agree. Don’t we have something better to do with tax money than helicopter rides and parades for millionaires? Education or healthcare perhaps. Sidney Crosby pushes a puck around for a grossly inflated salary, he isn’t saving lives or solving the world’s problems. As a society we place way too much value on things of very little importance. “Celebrity” culture makes me sick.
Neither are Lady Gaga or Amy Winehouse but Sid the Kid does more for us than those bimbos.
I’m not sure if he’s really brave or really stupid, to get into and fly in a Sea King.
And what about the Chronically Horrid today with a Sid the Kid section. Not sure if Darrell could get his nose any further up Sid’s ass.
I think it’s a very good use of taxpayer money to hold parades and celebrations. It can’t be all business. A community and a society is more than just how efficiently tax money is spent. It needs a human element, and celebrations provide that. Our country needs heroes and we don’t seem interested in elevating our politicians, or social thinkers or scientists or business people to those roles.
These parades and other events (90% of which I have no desire to ever partake in), as annoying and costly as they can be, do generate a lot of revenue for the city and province. It’s something we have to endure because it brings money into the province. So you could say that most of these events end up paying for themselves. And they are generally good for the city. Or have I mentioned that? ha.
He took himself off the ice in the last game because he thought his playing injured would hurt the team, you shithead. He’s the biggest team player you could have. Slink back to the Chronicle Herald’s comment pit, you’re bringing down the pessimists here.
I don’t see much validity in this bitch… Yes yes, he is not the sole reason behind the success of his team, though I doubt the Pens would have gotten very far in the playoffs without him. If you even watched Sid play for even part of a hockey game, it’s impossible to deny that he gives as much effort as humanly possible, he’ll fend off four defenders, pass the puck to himself… score off his own rebounds… He works very hard and even if the points didn’t show it (which they do) his efforts on the ice go beyond just goals and assists.
I live and grew up in Cole Harbour. I played hockey up until high school and know a lot of people in the hockey community here. Everyone is very proud of Sid because of a) His amazing ability and achievements in the game of hockey. b) What he has done for the hockey community in town (donating $20000 to get all kids in minor hockey new jerseys) and c) Being a great role model for everyone. Especially youth.
He is a nice, genuine guy and yesterday he spent an hour and half in the IWK with the cup and didn’t allow media with him. And I personnally saw him go out of his way and slow down the celebrations to sign autographs and take picture with kids in wheelchairs at the event.
So Fuck you live sucks. When you become the best in the world at something, contribute something positive to your community and stop being a prick I’ll come to your parade.
andrew,my parade is next tuesday at 12 noon.it will a big deal.and by the way,it’s life sucks,not live sucks,but hey,anyone can get a head injury playing hockey,right.
Hey, uh, LS? Guess what nobody cares about you, but people care about people with talent. Sorry you feel that 90% of people are morons for celebrating something so simple.
Uh oh, now he’s got a gun. Seriously LS, you’re starting to grate on my nerves JUST a little. If you’re here trying to get a rise out of people…
A. You have no life. (we already kind of knew that)
B. We already have Kay for that. And she uses punctuation.
Hey LIFE SUCKS, hope you see by the majority of the posts on here that no one cares what you think. Feel free to continue bitching though, because we bitchers eat hateful pricks such as yourself for breakfast.
While Kay is just a raging, weeping herpes sore on a whore’s cooch, LS is actually kinda pitiful 🙁
I feel really sad for LS 🙁
I love Kay.
Kay won’t love you though…she doesn’t swing that way.
Ok, you Crosby haters can explain to the children at the IWK and the children who lined the parade route and dream of being in the NHL why he shouldn’t share his victory with his hometown. And while you’re at it, explain to the navy families who got a big kick out of him sharing the cup with the guys on HMCS Preserver.
And as for hockey being a team game, he had Max Talbot here. The guy who scored both goals in game 7, whom Sidney called the hero at the Cole Harbour rally.
Crosby’s a great player but I’m certainly not jumping on the Pens bandwagon because of him.
Go Habs Go! 🙂
Oh and Life Sucks, fix your fucking comma and period keys already!
I’m with Dino on this. He is HOT!
Stanley Cup parades are nothing new life sucks. This is just the first time in a long time Nova Scotia has had a hometown boy on the championship team, so it’s the first time you’re noticing one.
I get a huge fucking kick out of people like the OP who worry about their precious “taxpayers money”. Puhleease asswipe, there is alot worse waste to your money than a bit of gas for a tank or a helicopter. Hey here’s an idea bumwad!! Why not get the SICK KIDS at the IWK to reimburse you?! Maybe they could have paid 20 bucks a pop to see Crosby and the Cup?
