I am so sick of having to wait out in the cold and in the rain for my bus to arrive at its stop AT THE PROPER TIME. I’m tired of being late for lecture all the time, and I’m sick of having to run after busses only to have them drive off without me anyway.
Metro Transit, you’re disappointing me. I’ve been riding the bus since the 7th grade, but it’s only lately that you’ve been pissing me off.
Yes, I realize there can be problems with traffic or accidents , or anything really, but not every single for the past 2 weeks.
Also, you bus drivers REALLY love cutting other cars off while driving. I know this because you’ve done it to me numerous times and I’ve seen you almost cause accidents. You don’t rule the road, it’s called curtious driving.

It’s funny, MT defends the poor road manners as the required to keep the buses on schedule…except that they are always 10 minutes off. I have lived all my life and it has always been this way, never expect the bus to be there at the specified Go-Time…it will either be 10 minutes early or late, without fail.

Have you people been living under rocks for the past several months? Have you not been aware of all the road construction going on around the city. Do you think that the buses can fly to avoid all of this? If youre late for your class, then take the bus prior to the one you’re currently taking and stop bitching about Metro Transit. Bus drivers can only do what they can to make their schedule in traffic and construction delays, it’s up to you whiners to adjust YOUR schedule to accomodate the usually unavoidable and unfortunate delays. And as far as buses cutting off cars go, Ive been on too many buses where cars do whatever they can to get ahead of buses, including nearly hitting cars in oncoming traffic. So get a grip and lets stop this pathetic complaining about Metro Transit. P.S. If you dont like the bus system, drive your car to class…
When are people going to learn that bitching about Metro Transit is like beating a dead horse? Most people have realized they’re just going to have to suck it and deal with our best eco-friendly city service. My bus is seven minutes early every day so…it’s life. It’s called taking an early route.
Metro Transit does, I agree, have a lot of inconsiderate drivers BUT! – what we all have to do is consider that there are only a very SMALL percentage of busses on the road at any given time in comparison to the amount of cars there are. Also, there is a HUGE, HUGE percentage of passenger vehicles out there being driven by inconsiderate and cocky assholes who will do absolutely ANYTHING to get in front of a bus. To all of you who bitch because the bus is late – and you have a car – fucking drive it!! Leave the busses alone. And, when you are driving it, let the bus out into traffic once in awhile, maybe the fucking thing won’t be so late anymore. I mean, why do you think they’re late???? Traffic is the MAIN reason most of the year and weather/construction takes care of the rest. Grow up and find some other shit to complain about – perhaps the fact that Nova Scotia lets anyone drive a damn car regardless of their mental capacity (yeah – you know who you are, don’t you). At least Transit has a fucking screening program!!!
Matt – larger vehicles do not always have the right away. I’m a bus driver in Montreal and we have a law in place that requires other motorists to yield to any transit or commuter bus that is pulling away from the curb. Halifax doesn’t have any similar law so technically the bus has to wait until its safe to pull into the traffic flow. That being said, I wish motorists would understand that each busload of people means at least 30 less cars on the road and a bit of courtesy would be appreciated when trying to merge into traffic.Even with a big “must yield” sign on the back of our buses I am still forced to push my way into traffic because people think I’m going to hold them up.
