I’ve spent my whole life struggling with nightmares. One of my worst ones, since ten years ago, is of waking up in the same room I fell asleep, and seeing a silent person standing at the foot of my bed, staring at me silently, with their face shadowed. Now I have to hear about you, you stupid sick sleepwatcher, on and off for the past year, and get these horrible security notices about you in my e-mail. Now I’ve seen your stupid evil sketched face, with those ridiculous plucked eyebrows and thin lips.

This is one of those cases where I really hope the perp is apprehended by citizens before the constabulary show up. While I would never advocate anything as politically incorrect as lynching; a fucking good hiding with a trip to the ER before being remanded into custody is definitely in order.
The only reason this sleepwatching arsecrack got in to these places was because THE FUCKING DOORS WERE UNLOCKED!!!! In other words, stop scaring the shit out of yourself for no logical reason.
I actually have woke up to this exact scenario. A stranger, who broke into my place, sitting beside my bed staring at me. And people seem surprised when I get annoyed when they leave the house unlocked before I’ve woken! Let’s hope the most recent perv-perp is caught soon!
this is when a big bag biting k-dog would prove useful…grrr
Sometimes TTFN, despite your practice of locking up the house tighter than the Canadian Mint before going to sleep one’s male housemate, who does not fear intruders, comes along later and disregards the locked doors and windows rule allowing said intruder access. I guess uninvited bedroom guests is a situation with it’s own shades of grey.
If you lock your doors and windows at night, you have nothing to worry about. Leave them unlocked, and you’re just asking for trouble in this city. But then, I guess the sleepwalker could sneak into your home in the daytime while the doors and windows are open and hide out in a closet or dark basement until bedtime.
True enough, Oceanlady.
ah, that’d be much worse…
a lurking sleepwatcher.
now they’re not going to get any sleep at all….
he’s already in your house ladies… so check every nook… every cranny….
every hiding spot you can think of every day before bed….
and then sleep tight.
🙂
…and the number of precriptions dolled out for neurotic behaviours increases exponentially in the South End neighbourhoods of Halifax…
E for Effort. F for Fake.
Nagging about locking doors is as old and tired as blaming rape-victims for wearing miniskirts… of course it is basic to lock doors, however, as we all know, forcing open locked door is very easy (there was a burglary in our office a couple of months back where it the handle of the locked door was snapped and broken so easily). Things like locked doors and passwords only exist for the peace of mind of law-abiding citizenry- for the criminal and perverted mentality, they are merely amusing challenges.
Sounds like OP is afraid of anything and everything. Lame.
To be perfectly honest, NGF, I thought the same thing.
don’t vorry about the sleep vatchers, you should vorry about ze neck biters. but vhy waste time here on zis site, when you could be out at night like me, enjoying the vind in your hair.
Bogus bitch.
I used to have the same nightmare when I was younger. I lock my doors at night though, and live high enough up that there’s no way someone could get through the window without a lot of effort. Also a couple people mentioned how easy it was to break in even though the door is locked. Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t this guy just opening unlocked doors? I don’t think I’ve heard details of locks being broken (or hiding and waiting for the woman to come home, for that matter). This whole sleep watcher thing just seems very hollywood….
All females should keep a vat of acid by the bedsides so that if they ever awake to find this sick bastard peering at them they can splash a bit in his face. Then, they should tie him down and torture him until he offers to turn himself over to the police. And then, figure out a wild and crazy story to support self-defense.
You’re right, hollah! The press and police are being very specific – there is no evidence of him ever breaking in. A locked door seems to be enough to deter him.
COP: “Ma’am, why did you hit him with an aluminum bat?”
VIC: “Cause I couldn’t find my gun fast enough”
Lock your doors and windows. If you have roomates that may leave said doors and windows unlocked, get a doorknob that locks, have it installed then you can just lock your room door. No more need to worry.
Invite him under the covers where your taser is waiting.
But honestly, he should be caught, not by the cops as someone mentioned, but by some concerned citizens who want revenge.
This bitch seems fake to me, too…and it reeks of drama.
And if not, there’s an insinuation that she feels it was worse for her than for other victims because she had dreams of something similar…otherwise why mention it?
I also have nightmares of waking up in the same room I fell asleep in.
It’s a woman. Guaranteed.
Fuck you sleepwatcher, it’s the middle of summer, the heat’s unbearable, my room gets fucking stuffy and I have to keep my windows locked because of your perverted ass. I want to have a decent night’s sleep again.
