This bitch would actually be written by Matt Good if he had the time. Did anyone notice how pissed off he was during the concert? For multiple reasons. 1st – the venue sucks, it was like a sauna in there. 2nd – During slower songs you could hear every asshole talking over his music. 3rd – Everyone is shooting pictures with their iPhones and blocking everyone else’s view. 4th – He realized that most of the people in Halifax do not deserve to listen to his music and he wanted to leave early. Once again Halifax, great job. This city is truly full of a bunch of morons. —This City Sucks

  1. Just wait until this “cell phone” technology of which you speak spreads beyond the boundaries of the HRM. It could very well be the harbinger of the death of live music , as we know it.
Invest in plywood and shotgun shells OP (Hint: This works for a zombie outbreak as well.)

  2. I’m sure it was more like he realized that most people in Halifax don’t really give a shit about him, his way-too-inflated ego, and his sub-par music.
Seriously, Matt Good would have been pissed off even if it was the greatest venue, and the most polite crowd in the world because Matt Good is always pissed off.

  3. Who knows what lurks in the heart of Matthew Good?

    *This* fucking guy…
Bet you’re a TRUE FAN, from way back. Right?

    Whatevs.

  4. Well check me tomorrow, call me the devil and feed me Sugar Smacks….Matthew Good was here?
    When? ….er….better question….who cares?

  5. FUCK Matt Good. Smarmiest bastard in the biz. I don’t want him to die, just to not be alive anymore.

  6. big deal, another asshole that hates halisucks, add them to the other non- important idiots out there. oh, and by the way, get fucked too.

  7. I saw Matt Good on Citadel Hill years back, he didn’t seem pissed off. Halifax *is* lacking good venues for big live shows.

  8. Sometimes you do have to work when you’re on stage, Matt. It cdoesn’t always fall into your lap like so many five buck dances down at the local Bump & Grind.

    @TJ: Perhaps a new stadium? 😉

  9. but we also don’t want a stadium….
    ho hum.

Garrison ground was excellent IMO though I don’t think the bands would like playing there in the winter. I’d say just build the fucking leech of a stadium, get the occasional big timers… and we’ll use those times to try to forget about how its cost is sucking the tax payers dry.

  10. I happened to be very fortunate to have met Matt Good a couple of years back, and he is really down to Earth, nice, and an amazing musician who truly cares about music in its raw art form, one of the last few good ones in this haze of auto tuned poppy crap that surrounds us today.

  11. oh my god! People were talking/laughing/cheering???? During a concert??? At night???!!??

    Only in halifax…

  12. Matthew Good Band? I know them..they had a hit awhile back…Matt Good is solo now? Who knew? Who cares, as well…

  13. A stadium would be nice but we need something to use it for on a constant basis, like a sports team, something that would generate the income, jobs, businessses, to make it worth it for the taxpayers. I don’t see it. Stadium shows that’s I’d pay to see still wouldn’t come here, so whatever. I’m still planning on fuckin off to Montreal or somewhere.

  14. I’ve never been to a concert at the metro centre but I hear the acoustics are awful. Never been to a show at the forum either but I know it needs some work.
