i am sooo sick of all u tenants who don’t want to pay rent and don’t want to pick up after themselves and then they get all the tenant’s rights.B.S!!! if you’re not paying rent there should be no rights.and people wonder why there’s so many slumlords around.if landlords don’t have rent, there’s no money to heat your ass,or for repairs. just hurry up and leave so i can have peace of mind.

  1. Find a surprise puppy left over from the last tenant? You chose to be a landlord, you get to deal with the lovely packages that tenants come in.

  2. I don’t think any landlord deserves to be stiffed on rent, Dino. To suggest otherwise is kind of ridiculous.

  3. There are good landlords and bad ones. There are good tenants and bad tenants. But there is no excuse for not only not paying rent but also destroying the place.

  4. what’s in the lease? you’re the one who’s drafted it and made them sign it…. boot their fuckin’ ass if they don’t keep to it. Otherwise, something tells me there will be more provisions in the next round of printed paper.

  5. I remember a statement many years ago when I took an evening class called Real Estate and the Small Investor, the instructor said “it’s the quality of your investment not the quantity” so, if you own shitholes and rent them out to scum, this is your reward….

  6. Tenancy Law states that if the tenant is over 30 days in paying the rent…they have two weeks to get the fuck out.

Learn the Tenancy Act before becoming a landlord otherwise savvy renters will own your ass. Just stick to the Act and you should be fine…it was designed to protect BOTH parties involved.

  7. sorry their 2 weeks are up and learn the rights yourself, they can stay right up until a hearing with the tenancy board if they fuckin want, and that’s exactly whAT THEY’RE doing. thay are 30 plus days late and i’m still dealing with them,if i could throw them out with my own hands i would!!

  8. Right you are!
They can stay til the Hearing…then you have a 2 week period waiting for the Order from the Tenancy Board. Next the tenant has ten days to appeal the decision.
If they do not file an appeal within that time you can then request that the decision be made an order of the small claims court. That’s when the law can go throw them out.
That gives a bad tenant plenty of time to trash the place while not paying rent.
